I guess it says it all really doesn't it? Literally witnessed in action, didn't fit the agenda shut down the conversation. The hypocrisy is something to behold really.

Politics, such a tame word isn't it, so much more palatable than saying, defending human rights, oh its just politics, nothing to do with peoples actual lives. Just as censorship sounds so much better than repression, suppression and oppression.

    Blizzard has done it again.

First Diablo on phones only for China market "Don't you guys have phones?"
    and now this.

When trying to get into a new market it's important to not lose your current one.

    Spinless idiots.

In the meanwhile, US has abandon the Kurds and let Turkey invade another country and kill the Kurds who were their Allies and fought and supported US for years.

Turkey is (almost) literally China, on a smaller scale.

US screams "China is bad! Freedom of speech", yet , on the other hand, they support a similar regime = Turkey.

    Oh, the irony! :)

Anyway, this is way politics has no place in-games. Look what we are discussing , rather then listen to Kano's rants over X game closing in 1 month ( :D ) , or what games we play, what levels are we, etc.

The Hong Kong guy, while I support his cause, chose a very bad place to protest. Add that to the fact that he indeed broke the rules ( no matter what X and Y is saying ), shows that this kind of things should never happen in entertainment categories.

I still wish mmorpg.com staff will close every bit of a thread about this kind subjects, because they bring nothing, but ABSOLUTELY nothing good to the table...

I just ask for clear rules.  IMHO you can’t have rules that you ignore when convenient or because you think one topic is more important than others.

    Consistency Matters.

Traitors? In what way, that imply's you betrayed your own countrymen in some way, which is clearly not the case. As for Turkey, its just allies of convenience, but don't worry, they regard USA and EU as the same, if they do at all. :p

The implications are scary as F*CK!
If other "states" on the other side of the earth have the ability to censor free speech right into the heart of America, into this little corner of the free world, what does that say?

It has been happening for years.  Just no one cared.  In a few weeks no one will again.  Hell people right here are censoring free speech....NYC.

The only implication is that a mod got tired with a discussion that had devolved into bantering about which countries have free speech and how an environmental activist was a victim of her parents.

This isn't about free speech; this is about one people oppressing another.  It's about people saying 'no, you can't come to our country and extradite our citizens because that is a violation of our sovereignty'.  If you support Blizzard's action, you are supporting this:

    You are supporting fascism.

Republicans savaged President Donald Trump Wednesday for allowing Turkey to attack US allies in Syria as the President offered varying reasons for giving Turkey the green light, including the fact that Kurds did not fight alongside the US in World War II.

...that Trump enabled the offensive against the U.S.-allied Kurds that Turkey launched Wednesday.

I understand that you personal, not seeing Kurds or Turkey as Allies, but .. they are! Ok? :)  Not just "of convenience". They are simply put .. Allies.

You willing to go die yourself to get between two dictators?  You then want to go fight in South America or Africa?  Feel for the Kurds but I am not sending my son or myself to die for them for no gain for the country.

Speaking about Turkey being oppressive yet, US is pretty much shitting on NATO, which ..is a lot more worst then Turkey being...oppressive atm!

So yea! US is a lot more .. oppressive atm and no, i'm not talking against China, but especially against EU and..other important things in the world ( including NATO ). Sure, you may agree to disagree, but one thing US has done good since trump and his regime took the White House powers, is that you guys have made EU to stand together stronger then ever, something which before, was not the case or if it was, it was pretty rarely.

    So thanks! :)

When you are the Leader of the World, you indeed, spend a lot more resources for different reasons, BUT, the gains by being Leader are very big ( you don't really want me to tell you which are which, right? ). But ..US have pretty much stepped down from that role in the last few years, which was a huge mistake if you ask me.

So yea .. ok, EU will sooner or later, pay the ..commitments, no worries, but at the same time, we are currently working to create a EU Army, which .. more or less, we will need NATO no more. At least not like until now.

And no, we should not feel bad about this..move. We paid deep and big to US for his role in...defending us.

It is different tho. I don't like arguing about politics in forums but you are talking about terrorists here. It sounds nice over there from your chair talking about middle eastern problems right? Do you know how many Turkish and Kurdish citizens killed by pkk and ypg in the last +30 years? They killed 34,948+ and captured 22,703+ people since 1978. If Turkey really wants to kill Kurds they would start from their own country. There are around 25-30 million Kurds living in Turkey. And oh btw your beloved ypg is trying to use christians as human shields against Turkey and yesterday they killed an Armenian pope while shelling the Turkish border.

    https://twitter.com/AssyriaTV/status/1182032744920096770

There are a lot of problems in Turkey when it comes to human rights. But this is not one of them.
