I just ask for clear rules.  IMHO you can’t have rules that you ignore when convenient or because you think one topic is more important than others.

Well, I'm consistently a snarky arse, just doing my part.

the US made quite clear what they think about the NATO. didn't they?

uh and turkey surely is quite oppressive atm
    The irony ( again ) :)

Speaking about Turkey being oppressive yet, US is pretty much shitting on NATO, which ..is a lot more worst then Turkey being...oppressive atm!

So yea! US is a lot more .. oppressive atm and no, i'm not talking against China, but especially against EU and..other important things in the world ( including NATO ). Sure, you may agree to disagree, but one thing US has done good since trump and his regime took the White House powers, is that you guys have made EU to stand together stronger then ever, something which before, was not the case or if it was, it was pretty rarely.

    So thanks! :)
I am glad that being forced to pay your commitments has bonded your countries.
When you are the Leader of the World, you indeed, spend a lot more resources for different reasons, BUT, the gains by being Leader are very big ( you don't really want me to tell you which are which, right? ). But ..US have pretty much stepped down from that role in the last few years, which was a huge mistake if you ask me.

So yea .. ok, EU will sooner or later, pay the ..commitments, no worries, but at the same time, we are currently working to create a EU Army, which .. more or less, we will need NATO no more. At least not like until now.

And no, we should not feel bad about this..move. We paid deep and big to US for his role in...defending us.
Last time I checked the EU couldn’t even keep their members.  If you add up all the military spending of the EU, including the soon departing Brits, they only equal $387B.  The US spent $649B last year.

Your “commitments” without the US being your guarantor of safety would be 3 times the amount you can’t even hit today.

So maybe you should just stop with the silly talk, thank the US for being the reason you aren’t speaking Russian or Chinese today, and simply do the small bit that was asked and agreed upon to defend yourselves?

Do you know how many Turkish and Kurdish citizens killed by pkk and ypg in the last +30 years? They killed 34,948+ and captured 22,703+ people since 1978.
And US has killed, how many civils in their theater wars since '78 ?! Actually, not just US, but many other countries , who participated in such wars. Yes, including EU countries too.

Anyway, I agree with you that we should not discuss politics in here and I will, from now on, ignore any post regarding politics on this forum ( or at least i'll try to ). I have my website(s) where I go and release the "anger" about politics, which are not related to entertainment!

So..peace in the Middle of the East :)

Anyway, what game are you playing now? Legit question, not trying to change the subject! :)

Thank God, I can't be the only one tired of reading the nonsense you post.  IIRC, you told someone you were having a discussion with to stick to the topic (paraphrasing) and then on this thread, the first thing you do is say that Turkey is basically China so.....

Convenient that you decide to walk away from this thread when someone points out the fact that the EU is not doing so great lately.

That "only" $387B will make the EU the second most military budged in the world. Am I right?!

That's not "only" , that's very impressive. Now imagine if we make 1 army with that budged. Yay, can't wait ! :)

Anyway, i'm done with this thread! ( hope so :)

Sorry, my numbers were wrong.  That$387B is the total of non-US NATO spending.  It includes non-EU countries like Canada.

I normally don't agree with theories like this without facts but this does seem real dang fishy. Def since editors were on earlier talking about  changing rules about politics on these forums
There's no conspiracy afoot here. We simply do not allow political discussion on this forum, as many of you know. I apologize for the confusion, but the editorial team is not involved in the community side of the site. They can absolutely continue to tackle this subject matter through editorials, but normal rules apply when it comes to the comments. This is exactly how it's been for many, many years now. Nothing has changed.

Obviously, the Blizzard situation is important and worth discussing, but we simply do not have the resources to moderate political discussions with the way they often end up. This was explained way back in 2011 and our team is much smaller now.
