Just to update what I wrote above about the unique 2HD that allows the use of lightning skills while equipped... well it turns out the rail gun shoots lightning so it can be used.
So I'm now leveling a 2HD fighter with a couple of mobility skills and Bleeding Edge + the rail gun and chain lightning as the willpower dump.
I don't know what to call this class but I like it.
Very nice, There is a plethora of unique and creative builds , with the unique Skills, and willpower/rage mechainic , there are so many ways to approach combat and succeed..
Why is that even a problem in a game with no competitive leader board or PvP at the moment? I could see that being an issue in the future when those things exists but not right now.
I see this as no worse for now than Skyrim console cheat codes. If people want to hack their game right now they're just screwing themselves so who cares?
And by the way people who play D3, which does have leader boards, on consoles hack items to give weapons 3 sockets for example, because files are saved locally and they can play offline. Those playing on PC which is always online and saves files on the server only can't do that but they can and do use bot programs to grind paragon points.

I personally don't think duping items in an online game with trading should be allowed. Have fun with your cheat codes tho!

It's not fucking "allowed" lol. It's just one of many bugs and things they haven't gotten to yet because obviously getting the servers stable is their priority. Just like no HC mode is also not a priority when they have many other bugs like loss of progress to deal with.
And you must have not understood the part where I said "screwing yourself" if you think I hack or use cheat codes.
It's just dumb asses on social media piling on and others like you regurgitating it as some kind of evidence that the game has bugs... no shit it has bugs, Sherlock.

No need to get upset man its just a game. Foul language and personal attacks just because we have different opinions isn't necessary.

Neither was your "have fun with your cheat codes tho!"
You snipe, you might get one back. That's how it works.

This might be an unpopular opinion but with each update, patch etc. I felt the game became more generic. I wonder how the final product feels so I will definitely be playing tonight but it went from must play to interesting over the course of the last 3 years. Last Epoch is the opposite for me, started out a bit bland but getting more and more interesting.
/Cheers, Lahnmir
This is a little off topic or a general rant but most games start to lose the flavour in favour of balancing. . first MMOs and that even translated to table top. . so frustrating. I loved some classes until they were balanced. You end up with everyone doing the same thing with a different animation.. .boooooring
interesting , but good for you , altho you shit talked Wolcen endlessly in previous threads
A year ago I told people not to buy it because it was not in a good state. And it wasn't. It was in terrible shape and a pretty different game back then. Remember when you could move the camera?
But now I'm playing it in the mid forties, have run unto a few bugs (like force shield steal dropping your shield to 0 on cast), and despite them, I've had a great time building out an ailments build that focuses on burn/curse.

I don't think they can handle 128k players trying to play this game. I wonder how many of those are hammering the pitiful servers they have up. I read the steam forums and feel a bit bad for these developers.
I myself play offline. Trying a facetank build but not there yet. I seldom ever play melee but I thought I might give it a go.
Hmm, unless I'm missing something from what admittingly little research I did, it seems there are only two types of minions for summoner (melee zombies + semi-selectable-type golem) and the map-dependent revives (parasite). And a mutually exclusive turret (there's no weapon swapping and turrets require a different weapon. And even if there was weapon swapping, I imagine summons probably despawn when you swap to the wrong weapon type).
I'll probably pass for now until summoners get further beefed up with more things.

Right now the summons with the exception of the golem will fall over and die if the enemy even looks at them. So fragile they are. You can at the expense of your own HP beef them up but right now even at higher level you cannot find gear that helps with the summoner skills. No itemization yet for this class. So avoid till they address it looks like they put this class together last minute so not balanced or even really viable. Don't know how they are managing the first act Boss with a pure summoner.

Thanks for the info!
That's too bad. If time to develop itemization for them was a problem, some games like Van Helsing make summon stats based off your own in some ways (Constitution stat gave your character HP, but also gave your summons HP for example) so there was no need to make any specific itemization for summoners because the normal items would work for them.
Admittingly most don't bother with such things. And perhaps maybe they wanted to have the option open for summoner-specific itemization in the future. At any rate, that's all the more reason for me (a summoner lover) to wait until they've developed a proper summoner foundation for the game then.
You faceroll everything, until the Act bosses one shot you. WTF.
Feels like a super casual game, until you get to the Dark Souls hard end bosses.
My personal solution has been to switch down to "Story Mode" of the act endings.
I do not as such have a problem with games being hard, if they are so consistently. This just seems random though.
you are doing something wrong if Boss(Edric) is oneshotting you , in regards to difficulty its is much like D3 in that regard . you should not be dying at this stage .. just learning .. it gets harder

He does have a point in that there is quite the difficulty disconnect between fights leading up to boss fights and the boss fights themselves. I don't mind hard but the game lulls you into a false sense of confidence and then the boss at the end of each act in the campaign smartens you up.
Personally I've found that having at least 100 health or health + force shield per level makes life much easier in those boss fights if you miss a dodge.

With the right build , Edric gets wrecked easily , and there are many ways to build for that , but like i said ..
Its similar to D3 in difficulty regards at the start .. its a big tutorial basically
