Only if trading isn’t allowed, which is another checkbox so if it doesn’t have trading/market then I don’t play.

Like he said. Simple. Don’t be silly.

Well then 99% of the game doesn't appeal to you and you wouldn't apply to my example of why someone would feel forced.

I love how people try to get so specific on a generalization. Silly is thinking your very specific example is the only possible way and that everything outside of your narrow viewpoint is invalid.

If it has pvp and you don’t like pvp then don’t play. IT’S NOT FORCED. I love how people are so narrow minded to think that only your opinion matters. Fool.

Not having trading is the ONE thing, like having pvp to you, that I wouldn’t want. So stupid.
Again, taking a specific example as the entirety of the topic to justify your narrow view. Crafting was an example, not the single example you are trying to make it out to be. Replace crafting or trading with something else and the point stands. You have to farm but hate farming. You have to do dailies but hate doing dailies. It could be anything that you hate in a game, but you like the game in every other way except that one point. And again, it's a game. Nothing is truly "forced" and nobody is suggesting it is. You trying to pretend that is what we are talking about is just you trying to get away with being an argumentative fool.

I can't stand quests. I couldn't get into WOW because I couldn't tolerate the ONLY way to level in the game. I quit.

The point stands. And yes, this was the entire point that everyone saying this was making. No one is forcing you to play the game.

Jesus, you just have no clue how to think outside your little box of a brain. You telling us your "game breakers" isn't the point. This isn't about things that make you quit, which at this point seems to be extensive. This is about everything being right except one thing that isn't a game breaker, but it's something you dislike. Now see if you can grasp this concept... This thing that you dislike is not something you can get away from. This may make you FEEL like you are being forced to do something you don't want to do in a game in which you like everything else. To some, it's not worth quitting every time something comes up that they don't like when the rest of the game is great. To them, it's worth it to stick it out and try to change the aspect they do not care for. Apparently you just quit the second something arises that you don't care for because you won't be "forced".

The whole point of this argument is people coming in and crying until pvp gets changed. That’s the problem. People who were primarily interested in new world wanted pvp, not a toggle. Now it’s fucked up because people were saying they didn’t want to be “forced” to pvp and were saying it’s not forced when you can play something else.

I’m sorry you lack the ability to understand this.

I completely understand. You liked something that was changed and you can't get over it. The question is, will you still play the game?

That's what people do when they like every aspect of a game except one thing. They try to change that one thing. They don't just throw their arms up and say "oh well, guess I'm not playing". Bottom line is if Amazon thought they could be as successful with the PvP game you claim "people were primarily interested in" they would have left it... they did not.

Personally, I don't like open world, full loot PvP and I doubt I would play a game that had that. I think it leads to a crappy game environment. But if I liked everything else about New World, I would work to change that lame ass type of PvP so I could enjoy the game.

I doubt would play it regardless I just like pointing out how childish and selfish people are that would enter a KNOWN pvp game and cry until things get changed. It won’t last because of people like you. It’s now a shell of a game with no content.

Is it childish and selfish to not want to get ganked for hours by higher level, better equipped players or is it childish and selfish to want to be able to farm lower level, poorly equipped players? This is what the real problem is. I think we have a very different idea of childish and selfish.

If you want to be mad at anyone, be mad at the "PvPers" that endlessly ganked noobs until Amazon changed their game. They are the people that "ruined" this game, not the people that "cried" because they didn't want to get endlessly ganked. All those people did was try to play a game that they couldn't because of the gankers.

"People like me" love PvP... just in a separate zone from PvE where PvP can be meaningful and not a gank fest.

Entering a” known pvp” game and complaining until it’s completely changed? Yes, that’s very much childish and selfish.

This is 100% different than a toggle. Maybe you just don’t understand what’s going on in this discussion?

Back in 2018 a video was posted showing a settler trying to take down a bison with a bow and arrow and then defend themselves against what appeared to be a zombie. It also showed off gathering and crafting, trees, the sky and all that stuff.

PvE but no PvP. Back in 2018.

Amazon never said they were making a PvP game - or a PvE game. They have talked about a something for everyone game. Which is not to say they haven't made changes along the way. To go from an assumption that New World was going to be a full on PvP game which has now pivoted to a PvE game .... I simply don't think the fundamental aim has changed: make a game that has as wide an appeal as possible. Whether they pull it off - well we will know soon.

Entering a game that has PvP, then voicing dislike about the type of PvP, is not childish and selfish. That's stating their opinion about a game that's in development. Someone like you crying about changes in PvP over a game in development is childish and selfish, but mostly childish. Considering you never even planned on playing the game in the first place... well it makes your argument that much more pathetic. That last statement is you being even more childish. I was simply stating that I like PvP, just not open world, full loot PvP.
