I was noticing that this Perkins guy says he still works for WOTC?IS he just helping with this game story, are there many employees only working part time?

I get the feeling of the MAYBE ...perhaps 50 max employees there is really only maybe 10-20.

I also have my theory as to why so quiet....

The obvious is HOW,does this studio stay afloat with what seems like little money? My belief is they have secured 1 maybe 2..3 investors. If too much is leaked out they won't get the free handouts that dumb ass gamer's like to give game developers,so better to keep a low keel.I also believe that they fear creating too much hype creates too high of an expectation that they cannot deliver.

An oddity is they have employed a long time "influencer" a term i recently noticed a lot more than say 5+ years ago.An "influencer" falls into the realm of marketing, sort of like what Bill and Garret and Rob are doing now.The funny thing is that there is literally NO hype, really pretty much NOTHING in way of marketing or ...influencing.

So i asked myself,in a day n age where YELP became big news for scummy "influencing" tactics and the very large marketing industry that hypes up everything, then WHY nothing from this game?SO my guess is this game is very far away from being finished. The thing however is that crowd funding NEEDS the hype, the marketing so why is there no push to get gamer's to hand over their money.....i already mentioned that i think they have an investor or two.

What does it all mean....imo expectations are already too high.

Wondering where VR is at in development progress 5+ years into the process is "a thought trap", but assuming that 10 entire zones are complete because we've seen portions of them in a video is a rational, logical thought process? This is the logic that the white knights cling to. Desperate times, indeed.

If they are so far along, why haven't we seen anything of substance in more than a year? June will mark two  years since the announcement of PF, and yet there is no discernible progress on crafting, itemization, group finding, colored mana, perception, offline travel, acclimation, animations, the website etc, etc? And if you think passing off a skill window and prettifying the name "the living codex" is massive progress in 20 months, I don't know what to say.

And again, people will fall back on the "just because we haven't seen it doesn't mean it doesn't exist" argument, which holds absolutely zero water for anyone interested in forming an opinion based on actual critical thinking.

NOBODY wants the game to fail, but it's embarrassing and sad watching adults twist themselves into pretzels of self deceit over where this game is at.

There was a video of substance a few weeks ago..... Remember they put 4 rubber doll figurines on a patio table and called it some kind of advance race.  I think they got them from a Big Lots close out bin.

Hay Jappa, look what I found on sale !

     Shut up kid!   ;)

I think Wiz is closer to the truth, likely some of the team is working on this part-time, as funds are available, much as Renfail did while developing SoL.  My guess is many, if not all are working remotely, not even sure they have a studio anymore.  Only photo I ever found of it was totally devoid of any people in it.

Under current circumstances this game has a very good chance of coming to a close due to lack of funds, but the team could decide to carry on with some working for free or a limited basis.
