1. They think they have access to special information. The truth is, you don’t. 2. Conspiracy theorists find themselves smarter then other people, billions of people see blue but they see red. That doesn’t mean they are wrong (they can’t be, they are right no matter the evidence of the contrary) but that they are smarter then others. Problem is they aren’t, or in this case, you aren’t. Your lack of understanding the reasons as to why such extreme measures are taken for something this “mild” clearly show this. You are out if your league on this subject yet you want to have insight and reasons, I guess to have some control over it all.

2) You are right about a lot of people, they come up with crazy shit just to be different and go against the grain. Most people who don't believe the lies the media spews are people who look around the world at what's happening and most of the time it doesn't add up to what the mainstream talks about. It's not like this happened out of the blue. These people have been training their whole lives to be degenerate filth. They were never decent people using common sense and science. All the covid19 pandemic is doing is shining a light on what was already there.

I tried to goggle what Erillion was talking about, I thought he must be exaggerating. All I have heard about in the UK is people not keeping to social distancing. I found stories about people arrested for spitting on lift buttons in China, so I am assuming such behaviour is world wide. It truly is bizarre that people are doing such things. However I would say that we can't assume all the conspiracy crowd would take part in this sort of madness.
