At this point, raising more money is just more embarrassing. All that money, all that time, and still no product. The longer this goes on, and the more money they raise, it's just a bigger failure to produce.

You seem confused, they are not raising money. They have a product (a game being developed) and are given money to support it. It's only natural that as their game gets more playable they will attract more money.

It's why they have been breaking funding and playerfor for the past 3 years ;)

An alpha is not a product. It is a exercise for technical merit, period.

I can't buy the game and have copy, so technically it is not a product.

The people playing it right now do not care that you define SC as a not-a-product.

    They just play it ;-)

For free if they want (during Free Fly Events).

One thing i learned a LONG time ago,if a game developer is constantly talking about money and numbers, the game itself is not worth talking about.
I have seen this trend for like over 20 years now.I can only assume that some really unintelligent people behind the marketing THINK<
I guess in a way it must work, ever notice how a lot of Asian games like to use giant damage numbers in combat ,like 30,000 damage flashing on the screen 4/5/6/7x.Or even NA games using giant numbers on gear +1500 Attack,+1200 Armor etc etc.

We used to see this all across the planet, even Asian games and f2p games...50 million accounts,20 millions players. Then we even had to witness what seemed to happen all at the same time, games wanted to break down the metrics, how many quests players have done,How many pvp fights, how many world firsts yada yada.

You know what entices me to play a game, when i see something about THE GAME that looks cool or unique.I couldn't care less about ANY numbers,i don't care about how many servers, how many players, how much money,ONLY the game matters.

You COULD look at the player made videos if you want to see something cool.

    There are thousands of them.

Hundreds here in the SC subforum alone.

Mind you, these are not CIG marketing videos. These are fan videos.

It is definitely a product. That's why it's charged with VAT and is covered by an international 14 days no questions asked refund policy.

VAT must be charged and that 14 days cancellation period given even if RSI is planning to deliver the (finished) game only later on.

so that 14 days its start to count after they stamp launched or the day you paid. that already tells us how much of a scam this can be

Every product refund period activates after you make the purchase.

Only question I have is why do they all have the same staged background in the video? They must all live together and took turns making a fake round table discussion.

Just wait a month or two for SQ 42 beta.
Which is still not released...so still useless.
