I'm almost getting tired of repeating about how my kids were in grade school when they wanted this game, graduated grade school, graduated high school and almost graduated college ffs and still no game, but yeah, repeating it is tiring af... THAT'S IT!!! that is their plan is to endlessly drag this out with stupid stuff like elevator ui until people burn out and forget all about it. Thx for the 300 Mil peace out y'all
Funny cause usually it would be the children crying the "are we there yet" song not the parents
Bet your kids still want a game like Star Citizen, since Firefall is not around anymore and killing boars for the 10000th time gets kinda boring
No actually they don't. Now that they have jobs and their own money they totally could but, they are cautious about throwing their money away.

Yeah we get it not everyone can make such good investments as betting in Firefall
But hey Star Citizen has multiple Free-Trials that last for 1-2 weeks along the year.
Still, if you don't have at least a decent PC with SSD +16gigs of ram and A LOT of patience I wouldn't bother!

The fact with Firefall was that it was a playable game, FREE, and no regrets as we had a great time while it lasted and we were done with it way before it disappeared? Not getting the continued reference here? or are you Joeblober backup making weak arguments about why we are all crazy for not throwing 45 bones at this pretend game cause (insert stupid whatever financial reference here of why it's the best deal of all time) like so many others have done in the past and apparently daily by the thousands, and we area just oddities whom the kool-aid had no affect.

Hey, Evil Elevators used to be a major cause of death in SC. Probably more than any pewpew in the early days. Only by major vigilance (and redoing the elevator panel countless times) can this everpresent danger be mitigated for the faithful!
Just because the elevator looks innocuous and stable, do not doubt that within the tangled code it waits for you to drop your guard. Then.....snap! Time to reboot.
Next up. The dangers of trying to enter your spaceship! Footrails are the devil's tool!
If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.
Coming soon: paid content for concept elevator panels that will one day, allegedly, work. Buying these panels will give you no advantage over other players who earn them in-game.
I backed Star Citizen back in 2013, and my wife at the time used to joke that I'd have to wait until 2020 to play the game. Since then I've lived a good life with that wife, gotten divorced, got a new job, lived through a global pandemic, 2021 is on the horizon, and in Star Citizen they're still working on the elevator UI.
Your life just doesn't understand projects and development. Perhaps, when you show it some charts with really big numbers and compare it to some unrelated stuff, it might understand. Perhaps your life is a hater too.
CIG is doing something so big, so amazing, so groundbreaking, that no one ever has done it before, not even the AAAA (yes you read that right) studios with their gazillion dollars and billion employees are close to achieving what they have done just last week. Its called creating a game.
But seriously, don't be a hater. It will be worth it for you and your third wife.
/Cheers, Lahnmir

I've never seen a game with so much passion from people who don't give a F about the game lol.
But to be fair the passion comes from both sides, the difference is that at least it's understandable if it comes from people who DO give a damn.

I've said it multiple times, i'll eat crow, hats, and as much as all the rabid fanboys want if this releases as yes i'd love for this game to become a real thing, 100%.
If it ever launches i insist that you all forever tell me "We told you so", cause if this game ever does i won't care anyway i'll be to busy playing da f outta this thing, and 200% glad you all were right and i was wrong.
For now putting on the pressure, and giving future "to be" pledges a little history, a little info into rethinking that decision.
I'm sure many of the people scammed almost 10 years ago whom privately and secretively pledged 10's of thousands of dollars are saying if i only knew then what i know now.
Oh right Joeblober it's only 45 dollars in every f'ing post, yes i'd prefer 45 in my pocket and not someone whom has mind blowing mismanaged 300 million.

Jaded gamers man, lot of jaded old timers
A lot of free time and nothing new to look forward play anymore because
they've become disillusioned with the gaming world. They turn their
bitterness at those who are still able to enjoying themselves because they resent them for being able to have fun while they can't.
They've trapped themselves in that mindset and are happy to be there because it's their safe safe, it means a video-game will never be able to break their gaming heart again lol
So they don't know or want to know nothing about the game....
Because doing so would put at risk their self-hype control levels and they could end up heartbroken again

I could understand that, but that's not what is going on. I read irony, humour, mocking. They're not hiding the excitement for a possible or potential fail. It's not really about educating new or future backers. I've seen this in several threads concerning Star Citizen.

I think it's that we hate that the MMORPG genre has devolved into amateur hour money grabs that are stuck in perpetual development hell, and that's how we express our displeasure and disappointment. That's it for me, at least.

Do you really believe this game is just $45?!?!?!?
Ahahaha it's a "canadian" game and it' will be a stupid grinding game for sure... Pay $45 and your hell will start, playing 24/24 to farm credits on ultra boring missions, for months, to buy more stuff to make more boring missions. Or just spend thousands of dollars and you will be happy with your expensive precious gears. Just to be clear, if this game will exit from "alpha" it will remain a beta for the rest of its life.

There you have it. If it fails before release we win. If it launches and fails, we win. If it becomes the greatest game of all time...we still win.

If you can buy into it for $45 dollars, then that's what it is. Some are content to acquire their in game stuff through in game effort. Some have more disposable time than money and make choices accordingly.
The opportunity to buy one's way through a game doesn't necessitate one do so. Optional purchases are optional.
