7,8 billion people on the planet and not even 4 million of them interested in SC, if you want to make BS comparisons I can easily top you.

    /Cheers,

7,8 billion people on the planet...
...and 99.99% out of them have not decided to back Star Citizen.

Can I join your BS statistic competition?

Out of all the 7.8 billion people on the earth, exactly zero have played a complete, released SC.

Why go for third time is the charm when one can simply delay indefinitely, like Star Citizens release date.

Nah, you're right. your third response still lacks any charm, itt isn't even entertaining or witty. Its just repeating the same line in the hopes of it becoming true. Nice trick though, putting yourself on repeat until the other one gives up. Now you know two cheap debating tricks.

...eh, it's you who is repeatedly failing to grasp a simple point.

I am just pointing it out, it's was true the first time and it is still true now.

When JoeBlobber pointed out to 1M backers, your reply was:

"7,8 billion people on the planet and not even 4 million of them interested in SC, if you want to make BS comparisons I can easily top you."

You call that a BS comparison but ironically, you are the only one to make such comparison.

JoeBlobber pointed out to 1M backers, which is the only number that matters there, thus your 7.8B comparison is just epic fail on your end.

Considering above, your further comments are even more funny...

Why do people even bother with this? Why not play Elite Dangerous, Outer Worlds, or No Mans Sky?

Because there are not... Star Citizen.

I did pledged to ED and even got lifetime free update. I won't play NMS or EVE because there are not my type of space games. Outer words is not a space game.

Many ED and EVE players do support SC.

I stopped playing ED years ago and have hundreds hours in SC Alpha. My best 45$ ratio vs entertainment.

If all you've invested is $45 you don't even deserve to call yourself a fan. Quit being a chizler and break out that wallet.

Sigh, it really went straight over your head. So here, let me spell it out.

Joe pointed out 1M backers IN COMPARISON to 10 haters on these forums. He did so on purpose to compare a really big number to an unrelated really small number. A dishonest comparison in favour of SC to show just how big and popular it is. No where did he just mention 1M like you are suggesting now.

In response I took those 1M backers and made them look really small in comparison to the world population in an succesful attempt to show the ridiculousness of HIS comparison, which is comparing unrelated numbers as to make a point. Surprise, it doesn't.

You then swooped in, didn't pay any effort, ran your mouth, and look like a fool while insulting yourself deeper into the hole you have dug yourself into.

I mean, I love to play with you but at least pay attention...

....it's not dishonest, 1M backers does show the popularity of SC. It is a statement of fact and legitimate point.

He even explicitely told you that in following comment:

"7,8 billion people on the planet and 20 comments of naysayers vs 1 million individual backers. facts not BS dude"

The "dishonest", or rather stupid, was your comparison to 7.8B.

    To recap again:

    comparison to backers = valid
    comparison to non-backers = invalid

It's not about numbers difference - your epic fail, it is about numbers you compare, ie. you would need to make a comparison to a game with higher sub numbers.

You didn't get the point, your argument is/was fallacious, you keep acting as if you were smarter than you demonstratively are.

And there I was so proud of you for accepting your limitations... /sigh

    Sigh....

Comparing people on a single specific forum who dislike SC with every single backer of SC ever lumped together = valid and not stupid? What is wrong with you? And that is dishonest, honest would be comparing every person who likes SC to every person who doesn't.

G logic at its finest but its okay. I know you don't want to be right, you just want to have the argument and call others dumb. So you did, you must feel great now.

Indeed, that's valid point because people who do not play/do not pay do not count, it's irrelevant metrics - the point that keeps slipping your feeble mind.

Wrong? I am just not stupid and that's probably wrong tho...

For fun I'll explain it a bit more, I understand fair comparisons are complex for one who never makes them:

Comparing everyone from group A (in this case everyone who has ever been critical of SC) Versus everyone from group B (everyone who has ever backed SC) = Valid

Comparing a very specific subgroup from group A (Vocal people on mmorpg.com) Versus everyone from group B (everyone who has ever backed SC) = Invalid

The same parameters have to apply to be able to make a fair comparison, that is not the case here.

    1M = fact
    10 naysayers on mmorpg.com = fact
    7.8B world population = fact
Any kind of relation between the three above = nonsense

Spending more time playing than defending the game to ten (or so) people that aren't here for games, just arguments. The same ten lifeless individuals you can see in about every thread pontificating on topics they have little to no first hand experience with but somehow think they have an expert opinion on. Why waste time trying to get them out of their small minded ways? I'd rather just go enjoy my hobby and not worry about what they have to bitch/whine/moan about on a given day.

Such a lazy argument. You know there's more people alive with computers that can run SC that dont play the game than there are people that play the game. Oh no.... That means your game sucks... Well anyway if i go by your logic.
If you really want to think properly, look at the actual comments. Out of 20 people only 2-3 defend the game, and they are usually the same people. While the other 20+ people are usually different....
    But meh.. whatever.

Tanking this hysterical argument further, 1 million backers and what was the last estimate of money raised - 362 million? That means on average each backer spend 362 USD on what? A tech demo that keeps getting pushed back because the developers don't have any clue on how to manage a project. This is sad, really.
