Serious chance that all SC will be able to offer when it comes out is better graphics. It will be very noticeable that ED will have so many more polished gameplay systems in place when SC launches. Also I question how much game we will get when SC launches, it still looks like a simulator.

SC is designed with multiplayer, PvP/org play, the space sim MMO in a primary mind, that will always be the core aspect that will fundamentally change how both titles play and the players that so play them.

Beyond visuals, for those who long something more MMO-like, it is what a lot of peeps want from SC and ED is superficial at, that otherwise, even X4 Foundations would have cut that deal, wouldn't it.

ED has PVP and org play as well. What it doesn't have is SC's forced PvP because it's not looking to be abandoned after all the "wolves" annoy the "sheep" enough for the "sheep" to leave, taking their cosmetic buying wallets with them.

Face it Pig, this just finished hammering the nail into Scam Citizen. Why, I wonder how many "loyal" SC players have just been biding time waiting for Odyssey so they can finally put SC in their rear views?

The only ones left playing SC will be the noobs who know they can't just plunk out some cash for the best firepower in ED.

Oh it's nowhere on the same level, it's optional at the very core allowing solo mode, it's not an organic part of the game and it's designed as such, it's not a problem it just appeals to people who look for something like that.

What nail? The same one X4 supposedly hammered because of similar feature sets? You don't get the point, SC is going for an MMO-like experience and player interaction, co-op & pvp level made core to how it plays added to a generally similar feature-set that is something ED is nowhere on the same level at neither does it have the player density by its own design to make it so, sorry to burst your bubble but this mentality of "one trumps the other" acting like it's the same game & experience both titles are going for is simply incorrect.

Star Citizen is going for a MMO-like experience, and ED is nowhere near the level where Star Citizen is planning to be.

But on the other hand after 8 years of development Star Citizen still has not managed to implement their multi-server tech. After Odyssey is launched Elite will be roughly at the same level with Star Citizen.

Star Citizen and especially SQ42 are nowhere near where they told people they'd be in 201`4 and 2015. I'll take a released and working game over Scam Citizen now and for the next few years at least.

So... just like every other Kickstarted MMORPG whos had to raise their studio from scratch, develop their engine and crowdfund their way along development.

In case you haven't noticed Frontier Developments was already an established company when it launched it's kickstarter. And Elite IV or Elite: Dangerous as it became officially known had been in the works since 1997 earning  the longest development time by Guinness World Records: https://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/longest-development-period-for-a-simulation-game

They used the crowdfunding excuse of an almost finished game to fund their independence and launched a barebones space sim with shoehorned multiplayer capabilities and where every major update feels like a afterthought.

So why not play Elite while you so eagerly wait for Star Citizen?  :D

I would like this game a LOT more if it had a better (good) UI and controls that made sense outside of a HOTUS.
Yeah the controls are not very intuitive and the landing part I tried was quite a mess. May be I am just horrible at the game but I found the controls a tad difficult and gave up.

The fact I don't play either game means precisely one thing:

That you don't have slightest clue about the games you are talking about!

And since you have no actual knowledge about the subject you need to resort to spawning unicorns like most ignorant folks do to try and save face.

And No! You can't excuse ignorance with the unbiased card while at the same time showcase bias by trash talking developers of a game you already admit to know nothing about lol

Imagine a judge deciding a criminal case based on some clickbait headline he read on tabloid trash because he was too lazy to get to know the case and excusing it on being unbiased rofl

Since it's impossible this can go any lower I think we're done here. B)

I play with an Xbox controller. Works perfectly fine for me, feels surprisingly good. Anybody could pick it up. Try Classic Setting and prosper.

Also If you are just starting out may I suggest getting a Docking Computer installed to auto dock until you get more comfortable with the controls. They are inexpensive around 4k for a standard grade. Makes your life 5x easier.

Hey, when Chris Roberts decides to open the financial books to the public, I'll bow down to your almighty white knight war cries. Until that happens, I'll assume the worst. I've already seen some of the stupid shit CR has spent money on, which believe it or not, was not going into game production in any way, shape or form. So if he's done it once, twice or three times already, then who is to say it doesn't happen all the time.
They have opened the financial books to the public:

You we're doing so well sitting quietly in your corner but you had to go even lower, making sure that grave is deep enough lol :D
