I was expecting more Cash Shop "improvements", to be honest.
Except all none hater fanboy know the game cost only 45$ and that all flyable ships or others assets can be bought with in game credits.
Yes we know it is hard to swallow bu that is a fact everyone can check by himself... hence the never stopping flow of new backers at every quarter.
It's lore said to be written by their own people, which is commonly made public during game development. This is an accepted practice not generally greeted with mocking derision.
At times the critique of Star Citizen is nothing more than low blows of opportunity.

But...Star Citizen makes it so easy to take low blows of opportunity, it would be a shame not to take advantage of them.

Their weekly schedule includes promise that "we’ll provide you with some solid discounts during our Merchandise Spring Promotion". So DarkEvilHatred's expectation about cash shop "improvements" was correct.

People do take a poke at SC a lot, because the money keeps rolling in and we see little more than new ships.
But I have agreed with you because official lore counts as an update for me and should not get mocked. However I could not find any lore, just a patch post. Lore is writing which expands the game universe; detailing locations, themes, characters, historical events and so on. There is mention of an upcoming discussion of some sort, I have say if you announce it, I expect to be able to read it, it is not like they are publishing a book is it?

Heh, it does in many ways but this in particular isn't one of them. Taking advantage here when their conduct is not out of the ordinary is painting with an overly broad brush in my view. After all, there are ample opportunities presented where such commentary is more apt.

There is a lot related to SC that begs poking at.
One shouldn't expect to see details in an announcement that a lore post will be forthcoming, as is the case here. Where one would expect to see them is in the actual lore post itself, for which no details were provided.
Those interested in the details, unlike myself, may be able to find them in the announced post if they can access the forum in which it was or will be made.
You know what articles I would like to see here? "This week in ________ (insert game that has actually been fully developed and released)"
Does SC really deserve a weekly thread when their progress, such as it is, is better measured in years or decades?
"Social media gives legions of idiots the right to speak when they once only spoke at a bar after a glass of wine, without harming the community ... but now they have the same right to speak as a Nobel Prize winner. It's the invasion of the idiots”

Apparently, as it gets one.
It is therefore it deserves to be. Interesting take.

I think the real discussion concerning Star Citizen may be "where's our NFTs"? How is SC not leading in the NFT funding arena? Are they slipping in the never ending battle for funding supremacy? Stay tuned for next week's episode.
Logic, my dear, merely enables one to be wrong with great authority.
Now see, that's funny. I actually sat there for a minute waiting to see what would load.
It's the complete Star Citizen/S42 experience.

A cash shop for a game that hasn't released.
Sigh.

I'm sure if something else had over 350 million in funding they would do a weekly boot licking article on it.
