    And yet the server still can't handle 5k concurrent players without subjecting players to hoursss long queue that might work or might not.

    I don't see how someone could even make that a goal.
    If it is the goal, then they'll end up sacrificing their vision to get there.

    All the games in the past that failed did so because they just didn't set a subscriber goal?  It literally makes no sense.
    Reminds me of when the projections made internally for The Secret World fell far short in terms of sales and sub retention, basically tanking Funcom's stock price and setting them on a course to deliver games much smaller in scope going forward.

    Congrats to them on the sales, but if New World taught us one thing; Retention may be a more interesting figure to keep an eye on. Additionally, having a sub, retention seems a bit more tightly coupled with ongoing revenue. Still, good luck to them going forward.

    "open world full loot PvP games with progression" all three qualify. EVE has skilling and progression via ISK/better ships (the equivalent of gear progression). To the point where people sell toons for that progression. Same for Albion and skill points/gear tiers. No misleading.
    FYI- Since I've been playing MO2, the vertical progression is fairly easy to obtain.  Many skills level up fast and you can equip a passive skill book to level online or off. 

    Gearwise, people don't seem to freak out when they die... they just make a new set or have spares.  Gear is pretty easy to obtain.

    You are going to be unable to get in if you buy into the game right now. Don't do it. You also won't be able to refund as you will spend more than the two hours in the lobby trying to get in.

    Pity (for me) they want this game to be a fantasy Unreal Tournament with no pvp / pk regulation whatsoever and comments like "players will be too busy killing each other". Otherwise, this would be good news. 

    If they put in some decent PVE and severe PK regulatory mechanisms and make the world less barren, this could actually be a really good game, imo.
    Too bad MMORPG developers seem completely unable to grasp this very basic and easily understood reality.

    If you're making an open PvP game and you're not dedicating serious time solely to creating a robust, effective justice system for wanton ganking, well..  Congrats, you just ensured your game will be niche mediocre at best.  I would love to play an open PvP game where wanton PvP is severely punished while objective and reputation based PvP is handsomely rewarded.

    This is false information trying to create hype and mislead the unsuspecting to buy a dead on arrival game. The current position on Steam charts is 108. The highest ever recorded peak concurrent players is around 9k, currently logged in players are around 6k.

    What a lame dishonest move by the studio to the point of lying in order to get people excited and blindly buy their game and drive sales up. Speechless.

    Maybe they were up there for a few days...

    But, like movies, if the popularity drops like a rock after the first week, logic follows that word of mouth was largely negative and drove off future potential buyers.

    I refunded after 60 minutes, the game looks absolutely terrible. Why can no open world PVP MMO look good, they all look like trash and run even worse.

    They remade Travian and yet managed to do it with a worse combat.

    100k copies sold but player count is around 3k right now, peaking around 5k during the day. I wonder if 90k people refunded.

    Your new account "Dec 2021"... with bashing many games, while pushing New World & Lost Ark (AGS)... move along already.

    Games bashed: Guild Wars 2, ESO, WoW, Final Fantasy, Ashes of Creation, Mortal Online 2, ...

    Whether you believe these are the two best games (NW, Lost Ark) or are just false flag trolling from a lame alt account to provoke people... yeah, not going to work here...  you're worse than a spambot.

    I bought a copy, and have no issues at all playing the game.
    Tho I am still having fun in Maven the starting area, normally I am not a fan of PvP full loot sandbox games.
    But hey the theme park mmorp's are getting a bit boring and I am open for something new.

    start MO2, disable the ingame music. Start youtube with some viking aggressive war music playlist and game on!
    Except that ...you haven't started playing the real game yet, better wait until you finally get in the world before pronouncing how much you enjoy it.
