they are buggy cuz most mmos are ever changing with the times, they have tons of users playing, not just a single player, and thats more coding to have all the other chars in, and when they make changes alot things happen that cause bugs sometimes, lets face it, bugs are the way of gaming sometimes, and we just have to deal with it
What does price have anything to do with bugs? The 2 have nothing to do with other.
Are you suggesting would we rather wait for the game to be complete than have it buggy... yes
Would you pay more for a less buggy game... yes
But bugs and cost aren't related. I'm sure we've all done our share of buying late games, and expensive games both loaded with problems.
I would prefer a cheap, bug free game. Could care less when it's released.
I would disagree buggy games are the way it is. Well, small bugs maybe, but some MMO's aren't even working when they come out of the box. Or when you buy a exp pack, your account is deleted. That type of err shows major incompetence... or fraud, I can't decide witch.

but yet at the same time only game i can think of off the top of my head that i have played that isnt buggy is DAOC. i have played UO, EQ, SWG, and DAOC. played some othe miner ones cant remember the names. the worst for buggy is tied between UO and SWG. oh and played shadowbane. the only thing i have encountered in DAOC is lag in major rvr battles. But then again i dont use exploites or bugs so i dont go looking for them.
The point of the poll wasn't to suggest that price determines bugs or vice versa, although I do think they have some relation. One game in particular that looks like it is going to be expensive, but initially fairly trouble free is City of Heroes. The idea of the game I believe originated about 3 years ago (maybe longer), yet it wasn't until this year at E3 that they finally had some video of the game to show. Some people are getting frustrated that it's taking so long to get the game out (the current ETA is March '04), but I say if they're working on making it as stable as possible, I would have no trouble forking over $50 for the initial game, and whatever the monthly cost may be. Then you have some games like The Sims Online. The idea for the MMO came not long after the first (2000), yet they admitted they hadn't started working on the online version until about a year before its release to the public. The game at launch was extremely buggy, and every new feature they introduced either created a new exploit or a new bug. I haven't played the game since June, but from November to June the game was a constantly unstable mess. It truly was just a graphical chat room, and a poor one at that. Throw that on top of the $50/game $12/month pricetag, and you have a truly worthless piece of software. Of course I will admit that since CoH is not out yet, I cannot quite make completely valid comments on its bugginess, but I can on TSO. I would have stayed with TSO had I paid only $30 for the game (the current price) and maybe $9 or $10/month (I believe it's still $12). So while the price and bug amount may not have a strong correlation, the combination of the two are definitely correlated to how many people will stick with it. So, would you pay $50 for a buggy mess? $50 for a stable game? Or are you more willing to look past a game's flaws if it has a low price tag? That is what the poll is getting at. (I just didn't want to have this long of an initial post lol I wanna see what people think )
