DAoC Problem!

  In the game everything in the background is flickering, trees are floating in the air, some are invisible, the sky is also flickering. Anyone know how to fix this problem? Otherwise i wasted another 40 dollars.

    you could appeal the problem to a GM (game master..or something). I bet its no biggie, although i forgot how to appeal..

    whats ur system specs? i had problems in shrouded isles before i upgraded my ram from 256 to 768. i dont use an ati/geforce card and it runs fine, just integrated intel graphics.

     (p4 2.4 ghz, 512MB, ATI RADEON 9200, 80 GB hard drive) They say the ati's are having problems for DAoC, they say to get an updated version but i have a WAY more updated version than what they suggested to people.

    i think ati just came out with a new driver, go download it.

    ah, well i guess its just some card problems then. im surprised they havent fixed that yet, its been a problem for a while.

    if i can't fix this problem i'm seriously going to ask for my money back i never saw anywhere on there that it didn't support the ati radeon. Oh well, i'll contact the gm and bitch about it to him.

    hehe, wait til late at night, during the day the waits usually a couple hrs. at night its a half hr at the most usually... usually bein the key word.

    Disable all drivers and reload them. Just do it.

    game works fine with Radeon cards.  Its something going wrong on your end.  Try uninstalling everything like Kiamde suggested and reinstalling your drivers.  If that doesn't work, uninstall the drivers again, set it to default settings, remove the card, and reinstall it from the beginning.  Also does that problem ONLY happen in game?  Or also when your making chars?  I had that problem and it turned out to be my screen resolution not going well with what the game was running at.  You can set it to whatever resolution you want in the game menu.  Try those things first.  Its a problem on your end trust me.

     I've tried different resolutions, and many other ways but it's always the same problem. I don't really want to have to uninstall everything for my driver and reload them and find out that it still isn't working. I just contacted their website and told them, if they still can't help me out i'll try reloading the drivers.

     Better graphics card? They ask for a 32 MB video card, i have a 128MB video card.

    Back when I played DAoC I only had a 32 meg video card and it worked fine so I doubt thats the problem Rathma.

     YES!!!! ....... YIPPEEE!

     Kiamde your partially right, it had to do with the drivers. The newest update for my graphics card had problems with DAoC, i uninstalled that and put on my second recent update and it runs fine.

     I'm going on the server merlin and on albion, anyone in that server wishing to help out a newb like me?

     Hehe, i just started this game a few hours ago and am only level 4. I won't be on the battlefield for quite some time and i already got invited into a guild.

    does anyone know how in the hell ATI names their cards????  it goes from 9700 to 9200 to 9600 to 9800...wtf???

    Sorry i missed the thread somehow.

    Happy it got sorted.

    I notice the older games do not like radeon cards much because they are programmed mainly with geforces.

    Up to AC2 and shadowbane were nightmare for radeons.But newer ones like SWG seems to perform without a glitch.

    I'll take your word for it. BTW, what else is there to do in the game besides fight? There has to be something else. Is there mining in the game?
