Well...a Prime Rib sizzled and seared in a variety of butters is a lot better quality than a .99 cent double cheeseburger.
Bottomline is: Quantity NEVER justifies Quality and Vice Versa
Stop bashing a game because they have low numbers and stop basing the quality of a game based on how many people are in one mmorpg compared to another.
Let's take EVE for example. Small playerbase. But quite frankly, its one of the best pvp mmorpgs out there. And for space sci fi mmorpgs they dominate. And how many active subscribers do they have? Not nowhere near as many as some of the "mainline" mmorpgs.
Small does not necessarily mean poor quality. Judge a game base off of other criteria....dont get into a subscription number fight. Both ways you'll loose

Obsessed? Why is seeking the truth considered an obsession? I point out that NYT is inept due to the obvious fact they got their 450k-500k subscriber base from SOE themselves who once again have lied about their EQ2 subscriptions.

swiftflow (if you all havent figured out already) has always had a deep seeded emotional grudge against SOE. i think they killed his parents or something, as its the only explanation i can think of.
where is your proof that SOE is lying? seriously, i want to know. i dont think you have any. if you can give me ABSOLUTE PROOF that SOE is lying about their subs #s then ill rethink my standpoint. but dont use "the servers seem so poorly populated" as an excuse, because i KNOW you dont play the game.

One. Evidence. Proof that SOE is "caught lying again". Without such proof, you're just blowing hot air. Saying it's so doesn't make it so.
Two. Always consider your source. So let's look at your value as a soure. Your signature tag is "if hating SOE is wrong, I don't want to be right." You post blanket statements like your points above with zero support argumentation or any attempt to actually prove your statements. As far as a source for whether SOE is lying about anything, you're hardly a good source for it. Your hatred is clear from your signature, and the lack of logic in your posts.
Three. We gotta stop replying to this sort of moronic posting. Utter waste of time, this is just another "I hate company -x- therefore I know EVERYTHING and what I say about them is therefore true, period, uncontestable."
I was wrong, earlier, when I said I wasn't going to call any individuals childish, just calling poor thinking it. This guy is so blind in his hatred that it's either childish or truly frightening. Can't decide which.

It's gonna be ok, man. No one (I stress NOONE) should be so worked up over a game. WoW is a good game and EQ2 is a good game. Each has their own good and bad things and each has their own unique features.
Now, let's put this rather interesting debate to rest. It is really a fruitless thread. I mean, it's only an eye sore now. Im sure about 80% of the forum members would rather not see this. Why? Because this subject has been beaten to death.
The days of glorified gang beating of SOE and Blizzard is over, my friend. Move on to brighter and bigger pastures.....er mmorpgs.
