well since you cant level through pvp i would have to say that pve makes up more then half of the game.

On pvp server where i play almost whole world is pvp contested area so you can not unable pvp only in areas like barrens mulgore loch modan non pvp area only when you attack oposing force other wise your save there but they are starter areas so not so big deal.
I rather see a FFA pvp server but that aint happening i think:(

Lineage2 is btw very save game most dont attack to affraid to lose items( you can only gues there lvls becouse you dont see what lvl they are or there stats) and citys are save areas its not realy a FFA mmorpg ,becouse to many carebears thats why it aint working that well in that game.

In WoW one person thinks that PvP sucks, another thinks it is great. Define what you mean by "sucks" or "great."
Do you think dueling is lame, not challenging, pointless? If so, why? Do have a problem with 1v1 PvP, lack of ability to loot a player, class balance, mass PvP? Do you hate the way PvP is instanced, or the lack of town raiding, or the nerf to town raiding through the DK system?
I am not a PvPer, but I do PvP. Dueling is fun, and challenging, but I don't want to spend 2 hours doing it, I'll do it occasionally. I rarely PvP outside of BG due to the fact that town raids rarely occur, and 1v1 is not my style. If it was I'd play on a PvP server. I am not a fan of CTG, but I don't think it sucks, just not my style. AV mass PvP CAN be fun, when people pull together, instead of selfishly pursuing their own goals, getting rep, or doing quests, but AV is a major time sink, so I rarely go to PvP there.
My only gripe is the queue system. Since DK and BG were added, town raids died off. So just showing up outside TM and doing a bit of PvP no longer happens. Now you have to queue, and on my server, with the faction imbalance, you can wait hours. In fact, before they added the thing that boots from the queue when you log off, I would be in the AV queue for days, not hours, because you only got booted IF you did not respond to the invite.
Blizzard state in the new battle plan that non-instanced PvP, and some sort of world affecting content, is being developed, so I wait and see.
If i wanted to fight vs people who have nothing to lose, and for no other gain than a ranking, i would stop paying 15$ per month and go play counterstrike.
Inconsequential, with no rewards, with no risk and therefore no real challenge, that is not what someone would call competitive player vs player.
Not to mentions that any attempt to make a worthwhile player run economy is completely ruined by the fact that there is no loss whatsoever.
You want to know what PvP looks like? Take a look at EVE ONLINE.
im content with the PvP in WoW. then again, i dont really like a lot of PvP. battlegrounds does it for me...although i do wish there were more raids. but, all things considered...not the biggest fan of PvP

I've played WoW since day 1. Only continue to play because all of my buds do... currently im looking for a newer version of Shadowbane, a real pvp game.
I don't like it. I think it has no depth, and is worthless.
