I loved AO except the forced grouping issue.

Quit and reactivated dont know how many time lol but each time i quit was usually after a 5 hours perioid of trying to get a group. AO set in the future etc yet theres no grouping help or terminal ,all ya do is shout  lol. Thats lame.

IF you make a game that forces grouping at least make a system to find the group !

I never have a problem fighting alone or grouping... perhaps it's just you and the people you choose.  ANd I'm fairly new and get lost alot!!!

You know, i personally don't believe AO2 is coming out, especially because they've already announced the making of Alien Invasion, another expansion.

And if it IS true and they are thinking of developing it, knowing the hang of MMORPG release dates, it'll be late 2006 image

If they do AO 2 i hope it will be similar to the gameplay of AO and NOT Shadowland.   SL is the reason i quit.   At level 200 all there is to do is camp, pharm, run..... NOT FUN.

I think they will try to squeeze more money out from AO with more expansions before they will go for AO2.

They have so small playerbase and so many other good MMORPGs are coming so they need to work hard to keep as many players as possible as long as possible, only expansions will do that for FC.

Hell the info was right here. While 4.5 mill may be small potatoes in the world of MMOGs, they must be making enough of a profit on AO to provide a decent ROI.

While most of the article is the standard gladhanding PR bs, it shows that AO isn't going anywhere, and like the game or not, you have to admit they've done a better job of keeping it going, and improving it than any other dev team out there, given the state of things at launch. If I remember, eveyone on LtM were saying it wouldn't last 5 minutes after the disasterous launch. Not only is it alive and kicking what, 3 years and 2-3 expansions later.

As to the two other MMOs they have coming, I guess 1 will be AO2, though, as with all the sequels to flagship MMOs, I imagine it will either get cancelled, or tank ala AC2, but you never know. I'm curious to see what the other game will be.
