Being a long time CS addict since 1999, I personally despise videos like this...  #1, I would say about half of CS players hack and/or exploit...  The deagle/awp combo ruined the game...  #2, CS:S has all of the same exploits and hacks that the game has always had...  In fact, you can still use the same 'glowing ring' wallhack that has existed since day one, it is written into the game!  I rock at FPS's, lately I have been playing BF2, and am always within the top 3 best players...  Likewise with CS, my skills were unmatched...  I could walk into aztec with a pump shotty and light the entire board up, killing everything in my path...  Then the cheap ass deagle/awp combo ruined everything, and now if I want to compete, I have to become a whore like the rest of them, no thanks....  Are people really impressed by watching the one shot wonder gun that is the awp?  It really doesn't take that much skill to use one...  You guys must be easily impressed ...

Also, did you know that a majority of CAL clans will hack during unregulated tourneys (which get you entrance into the Dallas competition and other CAL functions), then, once in Dallas they will play without hacks?  The difference in performance with unregulated tourneys where hacks are used and the actual tourneys that are regulated in Dallas are astonishing...  I still can't believe they give out that much money when most people cheated their way to the top, abosulutey amazing...

Teh. If the tourney admins just hook up a mouse and keyboard to an Xbox console or somthing, things like that wouldn't happen. Are the unregulated tourneys at a speical place or at home? Also, I hear about CS and hacking alot (even though I really never played the game before), why isn't their a anti-hack system on it or somthing?

Never played it with the XBOX, but typically console games have the same cheats and god-modes available...  There are anti-hack systems in place, but it are comparable to a one-legged man in an ass kicking contest, completely worthless...  HL2 has cheats (as do most other games), and it only takes less than an hour to find the right scripting to enter into the console to get the wallhack...  Since it is built into the game and engine, the only thing that can be done to stop it is having an admin watching 24/7, and this is impossible to pull off...  Why even compete when it is rigged?

I think it would take a good while for a console game hack to get started. Espically when you might need a Xbox Memory Card. At least admins can watch over that. Overall, that is pretty messed up. Besides, the world's best clan? I don't think anything like that can be possible....maybe contest wise.

XBox's are impossible to cheat with unless you open it up, install a mod chip, and go through all of that messy stuff. Furthermore, even if you were to do that (I've done it myself), if you were to sign in to XBox Live with a mod chip running, XBox Live would immediately detect it and your account would be banned from using the service (had a friend dumb enough to do it).

So, CS cheating on an XBox, as long as they were monitored and untampered with hardware wise, is impossible. There are no "button" cheats like God-Mode or infinite ammo for Counter Strike on Xbox.

Where have you been? Mod chips that require opening the Xbox are long since buried. Back in 2004 people started putting out mod chips that were directly built into memory cards. No soldering or opening needed. Just the memory card and a special boot disc.

Side note: I agree 100% with the guy that said the AWP/DE combo killed CS:S. I uninstalled CS:S back when that got popular. Haven't turned back since. When I want a good FPS. I load up UT2k4 or boot up UC:LC on Xbox. If you want a real FPS those are your only real options now.

Most definitely, in fact I bet you could use the same wallhack since it is part of the Source/Half Life engine...  However, CS is much more popular and competitive, so I would imagine cheating, while present in DOD:S, is less prevalent...  You know what the funny thing about this thread is, is that unlike every other thread, someone will argue any point to death, but everyone knows CS is plagued with hacks...  One of my best buddy's brother uses the same hack ever since 1999 and uses it for the Source version too, he is only banned on 2 servers, what does this tell you?  Most hackers are real smart about it...  They will use the wallhack, but only use it in a fashion that wouldn't give the admin any clue they are cheating...  For example:

Crouched behind a crate, the naval-less cheater awaits the glowing ring headed his way...  Instead of firing through the crate and killing the victim (like a stupid or non-caring cheater would do), he waits for the perfect moment to come from behind the crate and shoot them dead...  An admin could not kick them, since they didn't do anything that would signal hacking, yet this guy has the drop on anyone playing the game...  Combine this with the AWP/DE combo, CS is now officially a joke...

You seem quite angry that someone who put out 7k for a awp+deagle and took the time to learn how to use them right can take you out, who bought a 1.5k gun and shoots the widest and most accurate range of bullets.  Each gun has its advantages and disadvantages, and if you cornerd an awp close range (because a shotty is a close range weapon) you would win (unless you suck).  Its quite funny how you think 'awp + deagle' combo ruined the game.  *Note:  I am not an awp whore, i never use awp.

 

Next, you attack leagues such as CAL.  If someone can cheat to get into CPL and other tournaments that offer money, and then actually WIN those tournaments, they were the best in the first place.  If you cheat over the internet, then go to a LAN tournament where cheating is impossible, if you dont have the RAW skills, you WONT finish anywhere NEAR the money.  CAL does its best to find and ban hackers from the leauge (even though i believe they are way to leniant), and only the best teams in the world will finish in money.  (money tournaments will always be over LAN, so its impossible to cheat)

 

compLexity is 16-0 right now in CAL-I, and have a distinguished resume.  Team 3D is 10-6, and is falling behind other teams as of right now.  Anyone who thinks these teams hack is honestly just jelous, because all of CAL-I teams have PROVED their skills in person at LAN's ...

 

If you play the game for fun, you shouldnt be worried about hackers in public servers anyways.  If you play the game competetivly, you can just do your best and if you honestly think someone is hacking, you may dispute and the admins will look at demos/screenshots/any other evidence and make a decision.

Acually, no, I fully respect people that have better skills than I, but honestly, with the fact that I can have a 2:1 kill/death ratio with any gun on CS, I was definitely top 5% as far as player ranks went.  And if I was using a non-gimpish gun like the AK47 or the Carbine, my ratio would have been more like 5:1.

You sure sound like an awp whore...  But seriously, the quick switching from DE to AWP, and vice versa is very unrealistic and makes a complete laughingstock out of CS & CS:S.  Up close?  Do you even play CS?  I and other people who have skill can shoot people just fine up close with the AWP, in fact most AWP whores now will just non-scope your ass with a one shot wonder...  You sure you eve play CS dude?

Yeah, but to get to the LAN tournaments, you have to play endless amounts of unregulated tourneys on your home PC...  Since you cheat your way to the top, this completely invalidates any credibility to righteously winning any cash...  I know of clans who use the wallhack through every tourney, own every last team that encounters them, and then barely win a LAN match without their hacks and proceed to the 'money' phase...  This eliminates the naturally good players, and totally skews the legitimacy of any contestants...  It's rigged by hackers and you know it, sure, they might prevail in the end to win these tourneys, but they are still scumbag cheaters in the end...

Yes, all the while whoring the DE/AWP combo, and not even using 5% of the weapons CS:S has to offer...  They should change it to 'CS:S DE/AWP Tournaments', this would describe it more accurately.

I no longer play CS:S...  I started competing with clans and started from the very bottom of the CAL ladder, and we caught so many of the teams we were competing against hacking, that we simply gave up...  CS:S no longer requires skill, all it requires is the mastery of a handful of weapons, and to know the map like the back of your hand...  I prefer BF2 and other games of the like that actually test your FPS know-how and strategy, not how fast you can switch back and forth from your DE and AWP, that's just plain dumb...

Angry?  Who said I am angry...  After seeing the shit I have for over 6 years now with CS, I simply do not have kind words for it...  How long have you been playing it?  Seriously, I started it 1 year after it was released, and by this time Sierra had literally just acquired it...  I have been beaten by a lot of hackers, not only that, but they have told me they hack...  Having seen the hacks firsthand and having seen how to load them and play with them discreetly, I simply lost interest...  It's like playing a game of hold-em for fun with a rigged deck...

Ive been playing FPS since 1990. I was in a die hard clan for Return to Castle Wolfenstein and traveled to Quakecon as well as participated in tournaments.

Trust me, Im not easily impressed.

Seeing a sniper, without cheating and not hiding take out two people with one round impressed me

And Dis_order, it sure does feel like you have a grudge against people in tournaments. Ive been involved in FPS-related tournaments since Dec of 2000 and I can tell you the clan I was involved in never cheated and we weren't Tournament whores. and yes, lol, you do sound angry about this. Either you're very angry or you type differently than you feel.
