Yes this game is good, specially since it's a F2P

Even though almost 50% of the game still hasnt been implemented yet, stuff like Islamic and European characters + the whole European part of the game it still is great.

Thanx to the one who posted this game ^^

And maybe the staff would put it on the gamelist also maybe maybe image

If you can't see text inside buttons (especially in the main menu) it's because the game non-unicode language is set to Korean font style and your Windows system must be English.

To correctly display text in the mainmenu you need to lunch the exe file of the game with an microsoft application called "Microsoft AppLocale" which prompt the user to select the non-unicode text based that you want to set for an application.

Lunch AppLocale and go select Silkroad.exe
AppLocale will automatically propose you Korean as non-unicode format.

    download link: http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/tools/apploc.mspx

    Hope this will help you.

Note: This is not required to play the game, only to show text in the main menu buttons.

Yes, this game is good !

This is getting so annoying. All of the new quets I keep getting everytime I lvl arnt working at all. I go to the correct NPC and nothing to start the quest ::::10::

  • fulmanfufulmanfu Member Posts: 1,523

yeah i dont know whats up with that, its annoying to run back to town after you lvl and not be able to get the advertised quests...so you just have to grind the next lvl which is a major pain :/

kinda strange to see yall inteterested in this game...looks like a webzen/egame lin2 clone; whats different?

i understand you broke people(folks w/o money or credit cards) liking this game, cuz its free, but why is everyone even posting here or trying to play this? i guess even i want something new, but this isnt it for me...

this game reminds me of when i first saw a RYL gameplay video.  i was like, "yea, fast pace awesome game", but then i played it and was like, "blah, this shit sucks..."

from what i've seen over the past 5+ years in the mmorpg scene- free games blow

Different games appeal to different people. I personaly very much like this game, its really quite refreshing, and I like the setting. I'm not broke, I have a credit card, and its just an added bonus that this game is free. Why is everyone posting here and trying to play this? I don't know, why are you trolling? So many questions left unanswered...

I agree its a welcome change from AO. Took a month break so far from AO tried about games ROSE was appealing but got kinda bored after getting the cart and all the senior stuff so switch to this one. The interface is good so are the graphics and hey better than martial heros well atleast the interface is.

question? are there lots of different armor sets and what not and weapons? IMO if a game LISTS all the weapons and armor in their game on their website(AE Mu online, Conquer online, all those crapy games) then there is NOT enough items and customizations between the looks. Games like Everquest have insane ammounts of different items and could not even start to list them all. I Just want a game that has differentiation between characters, so lets say when you hit lvl 5, not every single noob of the same class has that same exact armor you have when you hit lvl 5..etc. Variation ^_^.

Edit: oh yah, priston tale blah, they list their armor too...

there are 5 different types of weapons: sword, dagger, halberd, spear, and bow. There is a better version of each every 5-7 levels (that i've seen so far) with a new model/textures. There is also alchemy, or upgrading wweapon to give them extra stats. Also there are usually 1 or 2 weapons in beween those 5-7 levels that have a different name/same model and are an imprved version.

For armor it is the same, but there are also 3 different classes of armor: Garment, Armor, and Protector with different models and stats. You will still see people wearing the same stuff as you but you won't normally find any "clones" that look just like you.

Make of it what you will.

One big downer about the system is that you can't mix and match the three armor types. That is to say, you can't equip protector or garment gear if you are already wearing heavy armor. Why they would chose to limit the player in such a manner is really beyond me. Then again, I've noticed that they've put quite a few restrictions on character development and gameplay which make no sense at all. I personaly am hoping that these peculiarities will be ironed out as game development progresses...

yah ok, i dun wanna play. not enough weapon and armor variants from what i heard. i just hate games like that and sadly almost all F2P games are like that. DOAC, EQ, EQ2, uhmm WoW! all have an insane assortment of items(that they do NOT list on their site, thank god) so yah, but thanks for posting the game.

I got to lvl 16 and am bored shitless , dont bother d/l imo. Every quest Ive gotten since lvl 8 hasnt worked for me / has been bugged and there is just not enough variety in equipment/character advacement but I guess if you like these kinds of games give it A try. Although I dont understand how anyone is willing to waste the time to get lvl 25+. So it's just become another tedious grind to me :/ Oh well back to CS while I wait for DDO , HJ and TR and PoTBS.

It has nice gfx and is fun for a few hours soon gets a bit tiersome still good find.

  • spizzspizz Member UncommonPosts: 1,971

the game has decent graphics and animation looking cool but it has one of the wors levl grind i ever expirienced.

game content is very thin, you have only one character which can use every kind of armor and just select the skills and masteries you want, there is no restriction you can learn every mastery but of course it is recommanded to concentrate on only two masteries.

there are 3 different jobs you can obtain with lvl 20 - thief, hunter and trader

i dont see any battlegrounds and open pvp is restricted. you can only attack people which are wearing pvp capes otherwise you get a penalty.

sorry but the level grind suxx so much and game content is so tiny, yeah the game is free but you need to invest so many hours to level up that they better pay me the hours i waste on it.

if the level grind wouldnt be so hard it could be fun but unfortunately this stops every fun after a while when u reach lvl 15-20 and u need several hours to invest for a small level up - just another mmorpg what the world dont need. job ideas are funny and interesting but there is nothing else what is new to us gamers, just another asian mmorpg clone for hardcore levelers.

if you just started the game

the very first window tells you to meet that General in the West end of the city

which are mainly Tutorial quest, but nice to level 3 and more by doing them

and you get free money, ring, and armor

then the quest at the end is to kill those haystack dummies,

then a real real quest is to go kill those Beaver looking beasts by the guard in the East wing of the city

and then you have another quest at the South of the city given by the weapon store owner

and then you also get another quest by the Drug store owner

and.... well the list just goes on and on
