Enough, put your money where your month is I say.....let the kids playing the World of Fisherprice craft drool over our screens!

The strength of L2 is its superior graphics and beautiful world, show it off. (by the way, after 6 weeks of playing I'm still looking for a "bot" I've heard of a few but they pretty much get "trained" once people find out who/where it is -- or so I hear.) Also I've only been attacked twice and that was in the starter zone.

Yes as you can see, no one plays L2 and everyone is unfriendly-right, only non players say that

and here is one for all the smarties who are always asking "does anyone still play this?" or "is this game dead yet?" BTW the shop function is a game feature.

Ok... not sure how well these will turn out... Don't really have any of sieges in action.. just us on the walls (because you are fighting for your life during sieges ; )

I was thinking 'bout trying it out a few weeks ago. Even ordered it actually.
The thing that made me chance my mind was, what i've read, the really screwed up economy, where you seem to HAVE to buy in game money to get something done..

nah.... it's just that the game is hard. the economy has always been hard. People buy money so that they don't have to wait to get what they need.

The designers did put in a manor system for castle holders to make some money and non castle holders to get crafting materials to either sell or use.

Like I said.. it's not an easy game. Everything is sort of on an "epic" timeline.

I've been playing since june 2004 and I'm only lvl 68. Cap is 75, soon to be raised a little bit... then there are the subclasses. They are essentially a start on a different class at lvl 40. Once you get the subclass to lvl 75 you can become a Nobless (this is all going to come in the next chronicle) and can compete for Hero.

the game has a heavy money and xp grind. So... not for everyone. But I really love the sieges.

It's a great game... it's not for everyone.

It is a pvp game mostly. So, the quests are a bit dry and uninspired (my opinion). The graphics are amazing... (can't wait to post my other pictures then.. they are really cool... just need to be resized).

You can get pk'ed anytime anywhere except for cities. So, people tend to join clans/alliances as soon as possible. Since the game has been out for a while, many players are higher lvl and most recruit around 40+

but you will still find some that will recruit 20+. Even lower if it is a brand new clan.

The name of the game is getting a castle as that is what helps generate money (and some prestige).

There is a karma system in place for pk'ers... if someone attacks you and you dont' attack back, and they kill you... they turn red. That means they have an increased chance to drop items on death. Many people go after red characters for their equipment.

The game does have a heavy grind so be forewarned. The new player areas are a bit light of people because it has been out for a bit.

You can't loot bodies... but if you die to a mob you can drop items. Or a player.

Money can get hard in this game. You won't be able to power yourself to max lvl in a few months. The lvling curve is extreme.. keeps the interest.

Those are just some action shots i had saved when i was making a sig. Sorry there so big. I have some good siege shots but there so small you cant see anything, and wont do it justice if i post them.

I can spam some more out there if anyones interested, but i dont want to put tons up unless they really want to see them. Thats my main, a Gladiater, and i have shots of pretty much every skill they have. I beat on that poor NPC for like 20 minutes lol

L2 is one of the most graphically appealing games I have played. I'd still be playing if it wasn't for the horrid levelling grind.

What impressed me most was how well the graphics engine worked. In most MMOGs, you have to turn down your graphics when you're going on a raid. L2 handled very well with the graphics turned up.

^--- at the bottom of that link is a section of screenshots of our raid on the Ant Nest. I was able to maintain that level of graphics without bogging down at all throughout the raid. No freezing or choppiness.

That was on an Athlon 2Ghz machine with 768Megs of memory and a Ti4200 128M graphics card.

There are some screenshots of L2 that almost look like a photograph. Graphically, L2 is a cut above most MMOGs.
