Since all of this talk about cheaters, farmers, and other undesirables came up I thought you may be interested in reading this. Some korean Lineage 2 players are mad and are doing something about it.

To be honest, I don't see as many bots lately as I have when I played before. I would think this is becuase of two things.
A) WoW, there is a huge focus by currency companies on WoW right now as it is very profittable for them. There are only 65k North American/European players of L2 while there are over 1 million NA WoW players and about an equal amount of European players.
it is totally exceptable by the community to kill bots in L2. In fact it is to such an extream, groups openly announce hunting them. It not just a few frindge people hunting them, its common practice.
One place I did see a ton of bots at is the starter areas.
