Remember it's BETA and not a finished game. The last patch already drastically reduced the effectiveness of circle-strafing to the point of being almost useless and there are further improvements to combat in the works.Remember the game is still beta so there is a lot of tweeking to do.
Still in beta? it's coming out next month. The game is not going to change enough to make it acceptable.
I love how people crow "it's beta" well it's been the same since alpha and I'm not talking about bugs I am talking about the direction of the game and the retarded way they decided to create this so called online D&D game.
Bugs are one thing, the way the game works is another. That will NOT change anytime soon.
Enjoy the game if you enjoy it now, while you can because if the game doesn't go through massive changes it will flop faster than AC2 did.
...As to you and your WoW warlock, if all you did was shadowbolt then you must be one sad warlock. You had more than one skill.
LOL try using more than just shadowbolt in an MC run and watch the raid leader go supernova because you broke the pattern!!!!111one11eleven1!oneeleventyone. When doing normal instances I quite often saved my parties collective ass with all the other skills I had but the high-end raids don't encourage that, they encourage exactly what I said.
"The game is still in beta" is never a valid excuse.
Once a game goes from Alpha to Beta, the feature set is in place. The features might be implemented over several builds to test their stability, but don't expect any drastic changes once a game is firmly in beta. When a game goes to beta, the main focus is stability. They might tweak certain features, but they won't be adding any new ones.
Having been a D&D player for many years I was looking a good online version, from what i've heard so far this is not going to be it. I tried Guild Wars for a while but was nohing more than Gauntlet, which if I'd wanted I'd have bought for my Xbox. I've tried Everquest 1 & 2 but the feel of the games were short on fun. I'm a more casual gamer so I want something that I can come back to, pick up and carry on where I left off much like WoW. Istanced games don't offer this and end up single player games which needn't be online at all!
D&D being the the one game that should have us all in there diving in to help each other out as that is teh true nature of community gaming. I have found some of my best online buddies through saving their lives at a crucial moment, this just can not happen in instances. Sadly I will not even be trying this one out as I know it will not have that spark of life that I look for. I think my next hack and slash will have to teh new Gauntlet: Seven Sorrows on the xbox. sadly D&D online will be an opportunity missed, long term fans of the game will not be playing playing.
this is like the "book becoming a movie" thing all over again...
yes, there are going to be some things that the game can't do in PnP and some things that it can do better. For those of you that don't like the instanced, I disagree, I make friends all the time in beta and look for them to further quest with when I login the next time. Its no different than how it was back in AC when there was no global chat system and we had to solo/find everyone ourselves.

This isn't even a good "alpha" game. Pass.

Just my 2 cents.
