by far the worst community i have ever seen in my life. The largest collection of kids and lamers ... flat out WoWs servers should be made of toilet paper because all i see is shit.

I disagree with this statement. I find the community exciting and vibrant, albeit there are moments that can appear silly and childish. But as a whole, a game with this huge a population, seems to work well. There are options which allow you to turn off general chat, ignore users etc. All in all, the community is the least of my concerns with WoW. Now with the server wide quests to open the gates of AQ, the community is working closer than ever to achieve the world event, quite a novel idea. Props to Blizzard for its forward thinking.
Yay a server wide grinding event for each server, oh oh look a graph which shows how far you are ahead of over servers. Soo exciting!!11! Because Blizzard were the first to make a server wide event evah.

See, i thought the same thing when i was on Blackrock PVP server, *one of the most heavy populated pvp servers in the US* and there were so many jerks. I had a 60 rogue there by the way so i was around for quite awhile, but i moved to Blackhand PVE server and ive met SOOOO many nice people the nice people are everywhere on blackhand and there are few jerkoffs, they are still there but not abundant like they are on blackrock.. You just gotta find the right servers pretty much.

here are the mistakes i made.
1) leaving FFXI to goto this piece of shit game. Lossing over a year and coming back to late to my end toon to see the econemy destroyed
2) Joining Alliance. Every god damn paladin is either a 12 year old or a stupid broad. Flat out, women and 12 year olds have no place in video games.
Funny, ive been a dwarf in every high fantasy mmo i have ever played, so i get shafted becase my fav race is alliance, BULLSHIT. Wish they would make dark iron dwarves a horde race, id gladly reroll to escape the complete utter SHIT that is the alliance player base.... Stupid lame ass paladins who think there warriors need to go and DIE in RL.
Were you on a PvP server? I'm on Hellscream (not a PvP server) and the community is in general extremely mature. If you're on a PvP server its understandable that the community would suck, as they generally draw more of the "1337" crowd.

WOW does have a horrible community from border line retards to people that have the intellect of a pea, logging into The Barrens only can show you this.
I dont know about the PVP arguement, I played Planetside which is a all PVP FPS MMO and there community is 20 times better then WOW's... Personally I think its the Bnet crowd. Anyone that has ever been on Bnet for any period of time knows exactly what I mean by that.. They just came over to play Blizzards next game, hopefully they will stay in WOW and leave the rest of the MMORPG world alone..

How can you make sweeping generalizations like that? Every MMORPG I've played had miscreants babbling in general chat, it's just that there are many, many more people playing this game which only increases the idiot base...deal with it, the game's a blast assuming you can rise above the nonsense. You choose how this game effects you, not the other way around.

Ill say what several people said - you are one of those people who make WoW community bad... just cool off and read back your own post. WoW has its own share of assholes, but I actualy found LESS assholes in WoW then in pretty much any other MMORPG becuase I can easily ignore the person who is annoying me. There, problem solved! I still cant believe how many people dont seem to know about /ignore command - makes the person who is annoying you shutup forever. If you come here screaming and shouting about community, then perhaps YOU are the one who keeps annoying people and you are getting mad becuase you wanna scream at them but they ignored you. I wish there was /ignore command for the forum...

Okay, how's that an argument against the community being bad? I can turn off general chat but the community is still there and I've just closed a means of communications with others.
Why don't people reading comments like the OP made take this as constructive TRUE criticism and work on changing it instead of sounding like one of those kiddies by putting forth turning off general chat as an argument. It's not an argument and it's not a good means of fixing the problem. How about the next time someone is acting like an idiot in general chat everyone tell them to STFU and act like a member of the community instead of being an ass and trying to ruin everyone elses experience.

Why's that interesting? He liked the game and kept going. That doesn't mean he had to sell his soul to the game and not find anything wrong with it. The WoW community does suck. People saying it with high level characters are just people saying it from lot's of personal experience. Why not take his criticism constructively and try to make a difference in your servers community. Start busting some assess in general chat and tell them to shut up. You'd be surprised how many people will jump by your side and soon these people end up outside of the population wanting in. I do it all the time.

while we have disagreed at times, i have to agree with you this time. it is the "bnet kiddies" the bnet community has always been like that and believe me i have played 4 years of blizzard games before wow.
this is not a bias statement either because i play wow and the community is horrible. i will agree though, that the non pvp servers are much better especially the rp servers. but if you actually think that wow has a good community you either don't know what a good community is or you are in denial.

wow's community is far worse than every other mmorpg i have ever played, there is no comparison.
if you want to blame it on a huge player base that is fine but you cant ignore the crap witch is the wow community.
p.s and don't reply telling me to "deal with it" because i do deal with it every day, i still play and love the game despite the community, I'm just stating my opinion.

It seems to me that any MMO you go to will have the same community for the most part. Blizzard just seemed to give WoW more outlets for the idiots and jerks to affect us.
although, in my experience, alliance seems to be full of immature jerks (Of all ages).
I Rolled alliance first because i too liked the dwarf... and that sucked. a lot
But now i play on horde and holy crap. there was like a 70 - 80 % drop in the amount of stress and annoyance i had to put up with. not to mention i get random party invites to INSTANCES instead of creepy "questing together" im in a nice guild with very little drama. its wonderful

As far as the morons here calling me a 12 year old thats rather interesting. Truth is, I hate kids, and I have never seen a kid contribute to an end game guild. I have played many mmos, all of which I have played well into the high end nothing. Not one girl not one kid all drama, all shit. From the wife of the GM who ruins the guild, to the 12 year old that plays a fluff char and drives others away nothing good has ever come from these people.
Someone touched on how the alliance is bad compared to the horde and this is largely because of one class

The 12 year olds and the broads all flock to the pally, the broads dont play horde because the horde female chars arent sexy enough for them. By far, paladin is the worst played class i have ever seen. 95% of the pallys all play like war's...

Do I sound pissed off? I sure as hell am. I wasted my time on this game. Me being the huge fan of WC I came to this game expecting the best and what I got was the worst. I left my established game, my established guild to come to a theme park that is full of the worst gamers I have EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE, AND THEY ARE LEGION.
The only good thing that has come out of WoW? ALL THE BAD GAMERS ARE ALL IN ONE PLACE. When VGsoh or AA or w/e mmo I am interested in comes out, guess what? I am free from all you people stay in your theme park.
