Dark Age of Camelot

I was wondering how many people that played Dark Age recently...say the past 3 months or so...have quit and moved on to other games. I'm just curious. It's really starting to bore me. You know your bored when you go into the game just to talk to people image

Why do you need other people to validate you? If your board with it, move on.

Why not try to explain what it is your board with? Or why you lost interest in the game.

Actually, I came back to DAoC after almost a 2 year absence, and I'm finding it to be fresh and challenging.  I quit in early 2002 and tried others, but a friend convinced me to come back.  I have to say it is the best of the older generation MMOGs and has the friendliest community I have ever seen.  The fact that you're logging on to talk to people should say something about the friendships you've made there.  You probably wouldn't have such friendships if you played AC2 or Neocron or TSO.

Speaking of DAoC, what do you guys think of the new free expansion they're planning? (Not posted on MMORPG.com yet, nudge nudge :P)

Nevery really played DAoC. Would like to read some up and downs on it. Maybe I'll hit some of the forums on the site and see some reviews!

I'm currently playing it. It's pretty fun. The only thing i dont really like is how they force you to group, and sometimes it is hell trying to go across albion just looking for the group, finding it's full, going somewhere else, just so you can get decent exp. Although i guess it's not a bad idea for a time waster until the real games come out *cough* WoW *cough*.

How are you forced to group? Even with my rej cleric I can solo.. and I have and do often. Sure you can do better in groups. but that's hardly "forcing" you to group.

Now EQ is a game that forces most to group.

the games main pull is realm vs. realm.   its kinda ..sux the way they players have made this now. in the early stages you could go out as 2 or 4 man group, or even solo if ur a stealther. now..not only are you forced to group, you are forced to zerg, meaning auto follow someone, along with 20 -50 other people running around ganking people.

lvl'ing up in this game is fun early on, but at higher lvl's unless you are a very few select classes you aare indeed forced to group if you dont want to spend about 50x the ammount of time to gain a lvl

i plyed this at realease for 3 montsh, and had fun, and i went back to playing it about 2 montsh ago. did have fun at low lvl's but after a while(a month) it got boring and frustrating.

reasons i dont like it, not going to elaborate

    1. /level command

    2. spellcrafting

    3. zerging

    4. half the communtity has buffbot accounts
