Hi there! I'm GM Callida. Like Sev, I'm on quests. I first became involved with Simutronics in 1996 when I started playing DragonRealms. I was hired to DR in 1999, and as Koyta, I worked on more quests and merchants than should be considered legally sane. I moved to HJ in early 2004 and made a name change. See, Koyta has a rat who lives on her head, and while HJ has lots of beautiful art, a rat on the head just isn't there. Koyta simply isn't Koyta without her rat.
I love being a GM. It's great being able to create things for people to enjoy on a daily basis. Currently, I'm working on a quest. My next project is also a quest. I expect my project after that will be a quest as well! I'm a very detailed person, so I enjoy hiding secrets in quests. Like Zee, I don't like the quests that send you out to kill 300 rabbits, or tell you to keep killing those rabbits until one happens to drop the evil glowing amulet of bunny doom. Where are the rabbits carrying those amulets anyway? I like a story with my quests. I hope you'll enjoy the stories too.
I'm Cinnamon, everyone's favorite spice. (shut up Axiom)
I'm a GIRL gamer, and I feel I have to say that, because people think we are a myth. I'm currently in college seeking a degree in something I'm terrible at, but I love a challenge. Programming WOOT! I however am not an HJ programmer, and there is good reason for this. They want the game to work. I also run a girl gamer website and am very involved with the gaming community as a whole. I shall keep my other identities a secret, because...well mostly because it's just fun to make people wonder.
I use to play Simutronics games way back when and always loved them, so I was so excited to get the chance to work for them.
I do a little world building but am mostly the person you other webmasters will be harassing for screenshots and the like. No this is not an invitation to harass me.
Anyway, hello nice to meet everyone and yes I'm always this crazy.
I'm Rowell, a member of the World Building Team for Hero's Journey. I have to say that I've been excited ever since I received my GM acceptance letter many many moons ago. Since then, I've gone through training and many classes to get up to speed on the very impressive tools that Hero's journey is being built with.
One thing that I can say about all the GM's, from the various teams...they are all gamers, with their hearts and minds in the game. I know that everyone is not only dedicated to making sure Hero's Journey meets all the requirements set down, but that it will also exceed expectations and definitely be the game that so many gamers have been looking for. We're pretty much all helping to build the game that we'd like to play.
Right now, I've been working on optimizing one of the starting cities, making sure that everything is just right, and that everything looks perfect. Several of my fellow GMs are doing the same thing. I know that each of us are excited for you all to get the opportunity to see it for yourselves, and explore.
I look forward to hearing from all the users here on what their hopes and dreams for Hero's Journey are, and to continue building what is destined to be a great game.

It's great to see so many dedicated and hardworking people behind the game that will become my favorite of all time, Hero's Journey! I am an old player of both GS and DR, I beta tested DR and played a human Paladin by the name of Kyndoll D'Urgyer for almost 10 years. I loved DR and would still play but my wife isn't into text-based games so I'm playing WoW for now.
One of you said to ask if we had any questions so I have a couple here for you:
I love the screenshots and small trailers you have but they led me to a question... are there fat people in HJ? I've seen the screenshot of character creation and it looks great but I have yet to see anyone that isn't perfectly proportioned in any screenshots. I will play and love the game regardless but fat and ugly people tend to make a game even more realistic and allow for many roleplaying opportunities.
I was also curious if there will be any form of animal taming or familiars and such like DR. I loved my pet raccoon as a Ranger and my gerbil as a Warmage. I would love to see a class or an ability learnable by all classes to tame and hunt with a pet similar to Hunters in WoW. If you can't tell, I'm a big fan of pets in games... I was also a Creature Handler in Star Wars Galaxies but they decided we weren't worthy. Anyway, if anyone reads all this ranting... thanks for listening and hopefully responding.
Thanks to all you GMs who were kind enough to introduce yourselves to us.
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
I am optimistically awaiting the release of Heros Journey to see if any mmorpg can get me back to the feeling of DragonRealms. I do truly miss the community feeling in the games I have been playing over the last few years since my departure from DR.
At this point I dont care to have the best armor, or be in the most uber guild. I just want good quality game play that I can come home to every night and lose myself in for a time.
So Im along for the ride, however long it will take. Dont let me down Simu, Im counting on you!
