Now while you guys piss on the game i'll say the up points about it.
No LongDownload play it to pass the hours at work if you can or where ever you are. its pretty big if you pay i guess and alot of quests keep you busy. The staff updates it every week with new armor or weps or dungeons or map so on. And we all know how hard it is to find a pretty good staff and we all love new updates so.....
The Gfx make me wanna Throw up and then eat it and throw up again But for the no download i let them go. Yes if you have ever played anyother good game you wouldnt wanna play it but if you put all your game tim into it and not like a hour a day then its going to suck so your stupid.
For what it has and the size and quests i think its a good back up game( you know you get sick of your main so you jump in runescape for a hour or 2)
Ok now you can piss on it some more and you can download a easy open icon takes you right to the game but no client isnt a bad thing in my eyes.
i hated that game, but i could chat and laugh about it with my friend (who enjoyed it, so i was annoying the hell outta him).
the gameplay itself was terrible for me, im surprised my mouse buttons werent turned to mush. but the thing that really really brung it down was the community. going into big towns and hearing spam for "i ne3d a gF, paY gOoD", just freaking pathetic, and yes i actually saw that spam, on SEVERAL occassions. there are tons of other examples of immaturity and just downright rotten/stupid behaviour but i wont go into those.
and then on the third day i logged on and all i had in my inventory was a box of matches. i didnt tell anyone my account or anything, ive never done that for any game. but yea someone somehow took logged on and stole all my shit. i was out in the middle of this cow pasture not far from like the noob start spot, and i hadnt been killed or anything, but my character was moved.
i laughed and logged out, happy that i had an excuse to feed to my friend to quit playing.

the reason runescape is so hugely popular is because they have a huge niche in the market, they have no direct real competition, they are the only large MMORPG that can be run on pretty much ANY computer, for free with no charge, and no need for a decent connection (you dont even have to download a client, however obviously pings wouldnt be great in game). there are no other games like this, especially no other games with the amount of content and the player population of runescape.
you guys may think everyone on the planet must have the latest gaming rigs with the best graphics cards and hundreds of quid to blow on games/subscription fee's every month, but the reality of the situation is that there are ALOT, infact a huge MAJORITY of people that dont have great machines, dont have alot of money, and cant afford to play normal MMORPGS. these are the people that are instantly attracted to Runescape.

Runescape is amongst the best games out there.. 2 things it lacks though
1= graphics
2= noob attraction...
when people first play it they will think "wtf is this game its shit" as u get high level etc it starts getting good
but if u play it without membership its a shit game and i dont wanna pay for a game with shit graphics like RS
