looks like ill just have to wait for STO for my sci-fi fix

Firstly I didn't think I needed to point it out in my original post since there are alot of "veterans" here, but /who only shows those that haven't turned off being searchable. Most people who PvP, and those that just don't want to be bugged, turn it off and so they don't show on /who. Altho you can't see it in that screenshot of Theed (I should have resized the chat window to fit all the results in) but only a few of the people who you see in that grouping of people actually showed up in the results. Secondly, pre-nge (well, more pre-ToOW) Corronet was lucky to have 3 people in it even at prime time and I know this because I tend to always do a /who when ever I land at some place. As you can see, it has nearly 4 times that number
I don't know about your servers but those /who results are not all that different to what it was like pre-nge. Of course, Corronet, Kachiro and Eisley are much busier then what they once were. The results were very rarely truncated (as they are in the Eisley screenshot I posted). I'd love to see some screenshots that show me otherwise
Also, if you take these screenshots and compare them to what I posted a month or two ago you'll see that the numbers are increasing, not decreasing as you guys seem to think. I was on again at 4:00am EST and the numbers in Theed and Eisley were both at 19 each (I can post these up if you want to dispute).
As for my ping, that isn't my actual ping :P When I travel the ping jumps up to high numbers (like that) and then it stops working (gasp! Shock! Horror!) until I do ctrl + shift+ g to update the ping. Actual pingrate is around 320ish. A dowunder server would be nice, I don't see why they don't market it down here considering our neighbours (Australia...) have more Jedi then any other religon

That's not Erillion. I'd recognize his syntax if it were. And while he's a cheery, optimistic fella, he's not real pleased with SWG atm and was last seen playing lots of EVE.
While I usually do blast Blood Raiders and Gurista pirates to kingdom come in EVE atm I have been known to wander the lava plains of Mustafar and replenish some South Coronet vendors in the recent days. Even do some work as mayor on Lok.
SWG is more active recently, guild chat is active and you see more people, not only in Mos Eisley.

A bit over two years ago I joined up with my friends in SWG. My first ever profession to master was Smuggler. At that time it was 3 months since promisses were made that Smuggler would be the next profession to get some love. I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but I do not believe that publish 31 will ever come... well at least not with what you are hoping for.
SWG is nothing but broken promisses. Just before the NGE hit Rangers were up for a big rewamp, but as a reward for all their work making suggestions to their profession they were removed from the game. When SOE removed the wast majority of the professions that was when they destroyed the game for me.
It is rather amazing that you have to wait for more than 2½ years in order to live up to your name and it's even more amazing that the whole background for this game isn't in place after that much time. In all the publishes and expansions made by SOE nothing has been done to make a proper GCW.

I'm sick and tiered of hearing this garbage, teh game is empty, i still have an active account, don't ask me why. Theed, coronet, eisley, bestine, mustafar, Kash all empty a bus night is 5-10 players not the 40 or so in theed when it was dead or the hundereds in the MO on dant. Aside from the gameplay discussion forum the forums as a whole are dead, and the GD forum is a constant flamewar.

I disagree, SWG has a pulse, though a bit weak now, it does LIVE! And I"m seeing more and more every day, if they nail publish 28, more and more will return.

Do not delude yourself, there is no ETA on 28, nor is there a firm list of what it will contain. Also what server where you on? Strange that your the only one reporting these 'large' groups of people, wouldn't it be a little more efficent to have more then one person from your server post this as well?
After what has been rumored to have happened at the Focus Group I don't think that many of the old people who used to play will return unless the impossible happens.
However I agree with you on one point, Publish 28 is more critical then ever. If they want to save the game every publish from here on out will be critical for them to save the game.
Laughable.. this game is far from being re-born.. there is nothing about it that shows any form of a come back.. I have to give him credit for trying tho. A great quote I remember reading from someone on the forums.. The NGE has cured my addiction to swg.. I think it has for most also.. hats off to you die hards out there.. I understand what you are going through.. but you will feel better when you hit the cancel button, trust me. 3 accounts canceled.

The NGE combined with SOE's antisocial approach to its paying customers is what has caused the population numbers to slowly dwindle.

Not to be rude or anything, but you do know it took them 3 months to get Pub 27 out?
Here's the math.
31-27=4 publishes away if you include 27.
3 months a publish X 3 = 9 months from now.
9 months X $15 = $135 if you are paying monthly.
Your gonna pay $135 dollars and wait 9 months until they TRY and fix your profession?
You may be having fun in the game so waiting that long might not be a problem. I just don't see what's to look forward to.

Rogue5 gave an ETA of it hitting TC around mid-March. Probably be Live at the end of March or early April.
