What the hell game were you playing? Get rid of space from Star Wars? explain that logic, please because my head is nearly exploding trying to make sense of it.

And another thing, Jedi are, and always were a bad idea. Eventually it became the end game for all players, and eventually most players would be these 'rare' jedi. The appeal of jedi was to have a distict advantage over the rest of the players, thus somehow making them special in this pointless war. But how are you special when nearly everyone is a jedi? Adding Jedi as a starter proffession with the NGE was only escalating what was going to happen to the game anyhow.

I don't think they should have never implemented Jedi, they just should have implemented them differently. Jedi should not have been something you could shoot for from the start of the game, Jedi should have been something that you could START to unlock when you hit your end game. Once you had filled up all your skill points, visted a major percentage of the galaxy, and done ALL the quest, THEN you could start to THINK about becoming a Jedi. I don't like the level system, but for explanations sake, look at it like this. You are a Bounty Hunter from level 1-90. At level 90 you can then begin your Village quests to become Jedi. When you unlock your jedi, don't think of it as an Alpha profession, think of it as level 91-180. So hell yeah, you are gonna be more powerful then a level 90 character. And Hell yeah, a jedi is going to be able to take on pretty much anyone else. You still get your 2nd character slot, so you could still have a normal life. Now here's where I think they screwed up, where they should have made it more immersive. If you bring out your  Jedi, you are a walking target, ALL THE TIME. Screw Bounty Missions, Bounty hunters should have been able to engange any Jedi, anytime. Or any Overt opposite faction member for that matter. They should have made it so you seriously have to think twice about pulling out your Jedi. ANY death you take, you lose XP. What they screwed up was the ease in which a Jedi could walk around in the open. I was a 1/2 and 1/2 Jedi. I did 11 professions on my hologrind, and when the village came out, I needed but one quest to finish. So I delt with xp loss, I delt with Bounty Hunters. And know what? I never bitched, I never moaned. I smiled when I got ganked. Know why? Cause THAT'S THE WAY IT SHOULD BE. You should have been scared SHITLESS anytime you lit up your saber. If Jedi faced XP loss for ANY death, you'd see a LOT less of them in PvP. Only occasionally, when someone was feeling REALLY brave would you see a Jedi in a GCW fight, AND THAT'S THE WAY IT SHOULD BE.  I know people whined about it, but if I were SOE I would have stuck to my guns and said "Well, we gave you the 2nd character slot so you could play a normal game, Jedi are for special circumstances." They should never have been thought of as someone's MAIN character. Jedi should have been the Alts, that you only brought out on occasion. Your MAIN stays your MAIN. Your Jedi is your dark little secret.

I think they missed a few of mine.  Not sure of why my SWG Math For Smacktards post was spared when the others were actually less mean.  Might have had something to do with my condensing down his rant to "choke on c***", which while infinitely tamer than the actual rant it was meant to represent, might have still been slightly more than the mods could live with.  LOL  Though it was by no means the worst language I've ever used on these boards.
