I agree that there are better ways to go about making lowend equipment available to people without cutting out AS's/WS's.

I understand TH's point about things being too hard to obtain from crafters for those that are brand new to the game (mainly armour and the highish costs).  However, I think from say level 40 that the clothing and armour should stop dropping and instead be replaced with CA's/AA's.  By then, these new players should have enough credits and knowledge with the game to purchase crafted clothing and armour (the legacy quests alone give around 1mil by the time you finish).

Yeah, I agree on that they don't really know what is going on in their own game. Hope this get better and starts to listen to the players. Good point.

Um, no :p  Crafters who are grinding use Practice mode as it gives a 5% XP bonus, downfall is it doesn't produce a finished item.  Not sure if that's been around forever though so it might be news to you if you did your grind early on.

You know better than to generalize Obraik...   I know all about Practice mode, I used it all the time, but don't forget that in the old days, we used to get a small percentage of XP if people used our stuff.  That's why, at least I, would always dump some stuff on bazaars here and there very cheap to get noobs to use them.

SOE knows what you like... You don't!
And don't forget... I am forcing you to read this!

Yeah yeah, I should have added a "most" or a "maybe" in there image

True, there was the usage XP but it wasn't guaranteed nor instant like practice mode was/is.  Heh, I used to fill up the bazaars nightly with lowend weapons and they usually all sold out.

You have serious denial problem. Even when I used to play I would admit things that weren't working or things that needed to be fixed, but this is ridiculous.

I posted that I didn't agree with the looted armour and weapons and offered an idea on an alternative way of doing it...

    Obiak,

Never mind,, i deleted what i posted.

you will never get it. they are killing crafters as a crafting  class, just as they are killign entertainers as an entertaining class.

Obraik, while I think these changes are preety lame, because once again they are going back on their origional idea, I do respect you for standing your ground and defending the game you still play and enjoy. I can admit right here that im sorta jealous, I wish I could still enjoy SWG. It sure as hell beats hopping from game to game pissing away money.

Ok so they used a sledge hammer to fix a finishing nail not being flush...

Or perhaps they used it as an excuse to yet again tear away at crafters so they can say "Only 1 percent of the current players were crafters, so we didn't feel there was any problems with removing them from the game".

Majic loot in SWG, who would have thought they would stoop so low. If there is any one thing that I found the most ludicrous about the NGE it was that. Now they are just taking it a step further.

Same, I actually kept myself in gear with the money I made from crafting while I was a lowbie. Bought my first speeder with my first 30k credits and I was a happy man.

    Now they are free...
