LMFAO I just played SB 2 months ago and now its free! I guess thats what happends when u say I gotta try this I cant wait a few months and end up not getting hooked to it lol... How many peeps are playing right now? I just want to know if they did this just to get some dignity with having alot of players before the game goes out of style in a few years....
Does anyone know when there will be an official announcement to why they decided to go free? I think it is an important thing to know if you are going to be playing the game.
Something i think thats pretty much expected, but none the less i havent seen mentioned yet, is that you only get the base game for free.
The 3 (or is it 4) expansions do not seem to be included.
Which i would imagine in a game as PvP centric as this one means your gonna get constantly whacked due to lack of access to items and possibly powers .
You receive the entire game, to include Rise of Chaos and Throne of Oblivion. If you have an old account, you just need to deactivate and then reactivate it.
I played the 15 day trial a while back and just couldn't get past the low populations. I'm sure this will help out a bit and I'll be giving it a try. Plus...I try my best to support any company based out of Austin.

Let me guess. You're running an ATI Radeon 9200 or 9200SE or 9250/55, right? If so, get the 5.4 catalyst drivers. Cleared that problem up for me.
Also, Ashen, I FULLY understand NDAs and such, and I know it'll be revealed eventually, but can we get an ETA on an announcement as to why it's going free? You know, something vague like "a few days" or "a few weeks" etc. I'm contemplating several different scenarios, but I want to see which one was right

I respect WP and UBI for this. Turbine shutdown AC2 without even attempting something like this, and for that, I will never pioneer a Turbine game ever again.
I have no bad blood towards WP or UBI because I know that they at least tried to do everything in their power to save the game. I hope you guys are infact working on Shadowbane 2 and using the UE3 to make it.
Give me a stable Shadowbane with UE3+keyboard movement, and I promise that I will be playing that game for years

Why? If it's free who cares why. LOL It's not lke you're spending anything but TIME having FUN in the game. LOL
If it's free and it winds up going down it's a LOT less painful than paying a monthly fee up to the bitter end (just ask the E&B & AC2 crowd)

Wow, you know what I really hate? Everytime I log on, I get the friggin sb.exe error after 10 minutes. I'll download the catalyst 5.4 drivers to see if it will help, because if not, I see no reason t play. It does seem like a great game though.

What video card do you have? If I can't get you a solution, you could try submitting a support ticket.

shadowbane atm is shadowbane2 in beta, they made it free to test out the stuff they are putting in SB2.. the peddler in sea dogs, wasnt suppose to be there..its suppose to be in SB2, but they decided to go ahead and implant stuff in the regular shadowbane, that suppose to be in SB2..so everything will go smooth when sb2 does come out..and also if you had an account in 2003 you are automaticly in beta for SB2

Okay, i have an old account, but i did not use it.
Out of curiosity i went in and made a new account.That account lists the expansions as "extra".
So is it wrong ?
Is there another step that needs to be done to activate the expansions ?
