I don't think anyone showed up We had a 4 hour PvP battle that night which ended up with some old school Bestine vs AH war. 3 Imp groups vs 4-5 Rebel groups Have screenies if anyones interested

It was a struggle on the connection, what with uploading the pics and running the game at the same time, but here are the two I got (I tend to get distracted in battles and forget to take screenies...). There is around a 2 hour time difference between the Theed shot and the Bestine vs AH shot. There were more Imps then can be seen in the Tat shot, they were off the camera or had already cloned
We had a big finale battle where us Imps were in the Bestine starport and severely out numbered. We managed to keep them out for a good 20mins before they decided to push in all at once and overwhelm us

I am really happy Obriak is having so much fun... but those pictures are a FRACTION of what we had pre-cu. I remember Anchorhead where there were easily 40 people a side with ATST's all around and Rancors attacking the ATST's.
Those were the days.

Heh, it never was "OMGz there's more people here then pre-cu" debate However, we were told by the Rebels that they had around 30-40 people on their side, but Rebels are known to lie
I think Pub 28 will get more people on the PvP scene as many don't like the whole waiting part involved with PvP. One side usually has to go off to a different city to a recruiter, then all shuttle back to where the battle is and try again. In the mean time, the opposing faction is standing around waiting for a good 10-15mins. From my testing on TC, the ability to change to SF in the field makes for some very fast paced PvP
Thanks for the pics, Obraik. It did make me miss the game a bit. More so the fact that it was the community and their efforts that made running around the universe so much fun. I actually wish I had the opportunity to play alongside you back in PreCU. Seems like you have a nose for where the events are and how to be a part of them.

No sorry I couldnt bring myself to go back into that crappy game the other night. Instead I worked on my main in L2 and got her into B-Grade gear Woot. My son had been asking to play the game again and since (stupid me) I paid and immediately cancelled the account, he does have until the end of the month to make a toon and check it out. I will have him find out. As for me I think I would rather have my intrails ripped out and my head chopped off before going back into that game.

I have to agree with Ravensong and a lot of the other posters on this thread - the graphics have gone downhill considerably since the NGE. But back to the main topic.
I quit the day before the NGE hit on principle alone, I was damned if I was going to be treated like that by SOE - all that work that had went into my toons and equiping them to the highest level possible (all those wasted millions on Jedi skill tapes premium/flawless pearls etc) wiped-out. No I wasnt going to stand for it, I wouldnt let myself be treated like that in real life and there was no way I was going to be treated like crap in a virtual world. So the cancel button got hit and even though I still had about 3 months left on my subscription I never logged back into the game, it was just too painful.
Anyway, my guild left the game en-masse at the same time as me and off we went to CoV, although most of my guild are still playing that game, it just wasnt for me - superhero's/villains MEH. After trying several other games; MxO (this was actually when I quit the first time, due to the CU. MxO was pants though, so I returned to SWG), WoW, EvE, Silkroad Online and currently RF Online, I still find myself missing SWG. So, even though I knew it would be a fruitless enterprise, last night I downloaded the 10-day free starter kit - OMG ROFLMFAO, what a complete and utter piece of garbage.
I know I shouldnt laugh but it is just SO BAD, its like watching a movie that you know is absolutely awful, but watching it all anyway just to see how terrible it can get. I was getting a tad bored of RF Online already, but that experience of those 10 levels last night on the New Improved (Tm) SWG have gave me a renewed vigor for RF, so at least it wasnt a total waste of time, lol.
Only The Smed knows why this crap was pushed live, I for one have absolutely no idea what the hell they were thinking when they did this, they cant really have expected this to be a success, they must be trying to kill the game. Something that they have practically succeded in, this game does not have much longer IMO, it cant have, its just too bad to have a future in its current state.
I have been a massive SW fan since I first saw Star Wars (no ANH tagline back then) in the cinema as a totally amazed 5 year old kid, but even I could not put up with the crappy gameplay (the new movement makes me feel physically sick), bugs, awful graphics and general piss-poor game that SWG has become .
Oh well /rant off, sorry for the long post all, but I had to share last nights experience with you.
On a lighter note, to the poster who was asking Ravensong if they played on Bria (sorry forgot your forumname poster) I think you may have her confused with one of my old guildies Darkraven, she was a MLS/Mdef/Heal 4004 Imperial Dark Jedi in BLC. Well maybe, lol, there are probably loads of players with Raven in their toons name.

The servers are ghost town enough for smed to amke a comment about possible server mergers. This was stated during his friday fiasco where he brought in all the devs to help answer the rumr questions.
