    Playing Horizons now.

Ask me again in 6 months...that's almost a lifetime in the gaming industry.

DAoC at the moment.  Will likely look at WoW or EQII midyear, but can't guarantee anything.  In six months there will be a raft of new games on the market and no one can accurately predict who will be playing what then.

DAoC until WoW... assuming WoW is good I'll give that a go for awhile.

I love the concept of CoH, but without super villians it just doesn't seem as much fun.

Comic book superheros simply have to have supervillains. If ever there was a need for a pure PvP MMOG it is the comic book. Sad.

Dropping PvP on a system without it being a design decision from the get-go is fraught with disaster.

it is planned but just not implemented in it.

CoH uses my guild/clan name.:::^}:: They also make me feel like a Nazi...

I am looking forward to Lineage II and UXO. Anything with the U. engine is cool with me. Plus those games are backed up by devs with many years of mmorpg making skill.

Again not WoW because it is a single player mmorpg ect.

    Guild Wars & Lineage 2.

I have no doubt that when Guild Wars comes in the MMORPG market scene, it will come as the "Silencer" of all hype.

Lineage 2 will still dominate the MMORPG landscape with its "larger-than-game" art and epic clan PvP war, but some serious skillful competitive minded players will slowly be looking other alternative than the usual "time-rewarding" game.

and WoW? no thanks. I've never been huge fan of script based game nor I will ever wanna spent 15$ a month slaying ever spawning dumb monsters.

Lock on modern air combat atm. It is not massive or even RPG, but it has more roleplaying than most of the mmorpg:s out there simply because communication in MP games is short and vigilant and the action is so tight at times that I get a kick out of hearing ppl screaming commands in Voice chat FOX 3! IN HOT! CHECK SIX!

Waitng for my Saga of Ryzom beta cd and if it turns out to be a good game, I'll be playing it i´n 7 months.

I enjoy playing LOMAC too :)  But then again I have always enjoyed combat flight sims...they require a ton of skill to master, especially one as realistic as LOMAC!

7 months? well i'll continue to play Minesweaper, but as for mmorpg's, thats a difficult pick, i'll say WoW most likely, because it's looking great, also i've found a nice little community/guild(refer to signature)  to be a part of already. This year theres going to be ALOT of mmorpg's around, and we'll see ALOT come into development, i must say however that this worrys me, in the past years there have been a limited ammount of mmorpg's and due to the number of people who play mmorpg's thats fine, but with all these mmorpg's comming out now, is there enough people to maintain high populations? without massive ammounts of people they are just MORPG's.

It has nothing to do with the game quality. Most people stil play Everquest. That doesn't make EQ the bets game.

Most just stay since they have made friends there.

MMORPGS with not much people subscribed can be fun too. Well not if it's like in AC2 with empty servers. =)

As long there's around 2 to 3k people on the server it's all good.

    Example: Eve Online

It has only one server (cluster) wich can hold a lot of people.

At peak times there's around 6k people online. No other MMORPG has servers holding that much. Therefore EvE Online has most people playing kinda. In Everquest 30k people may be playing simultanously but split onto different servers.

Same with Final Fantasy XI. Like 3k people per server only but there's like 25 servers.

You could play the beta now if you're patient. Server 2 works surprisingly well! I've got a Human fighter and a dwarven fighter at the moment. Still lower leve...but the game sure is PURTY!

Right now, the only thing I have been playing is the Fung Wan Online open beta off and on. I am enjoying the clan aspects of that game. At least there's always some kind of conversation going on when I log in, and I like that in a game. Leveling isn't terribly different from other games-- just a matter of killing enough critters. Overall, I'd say the game is ok-- it doesn't suck so bad that you have to claw your eyes out to get the images out of your head, at any rate. Sys Reqs are reasonable, which is a good thing, since I am about 4 months away from being able to upgrade my computer.

Darn mortgage! If I didn't have to pay that, I'd have a screaming rig. image

EQ pals have been poking at me to come back for the new expansion, and I might do that before the next round of games.

I am looking forward to UX:O and EQ2, to some degree. Both feature rodent races, which I think is nifty keen. (What can I say? I used to breed unusual colors of rodents as a hobby. It turns out that MMORPGs make a cheaper, less smelly hobby.) As a person who tends to play melee classes, I am looking forward to trying out the UX:O combat system. I also want to see how the avatar/disciple thing actually plays out.  I will be interested to see how EQ2 handles on the road as well. I've had really mixed feelings about some of the features and some of the screenshots. In the end, I think I am curious about the game, and I think it will be good enough to play for a while.

Other games that have really gotten my interest lately are Saga of Ryzom and Lineage 2. Ryzom features an interesting world concept and races to play, which is moderately important to me. I get really tired of elf-and-dragon fantasy. The screenshots have been pretty eye-catching to me, and it is a game that I will probably play when/if it is released in the US. Lineage 2 just looks really pretty to me. I like pretty. image
