I was wondering if the higher populated servers like Lance and Merlin are getting the lower lvl people onto the battlefields. I just bought the game 3 weeks ago and love it. But since hardly anyone is a newb, only the realms have been seeing action and it's going to be awhile before i get to lvl 40. I go to BFs now and no one is ever there and I don't see what all the buzz is about. I play on Mid/Galahad btw.

I don't know why people think DAOC is such a good PvP game. Personally, I didn't like the game setup!

The majority of the populated servers rarely see any action in the battlegrounds other than battleground 3. Level's 30 - 35. This is mainly due to the /level factor for Hibs and Mids on the majority of these servers.
My advice to you is; which ever server you are playing on, to wait at least till 30 before considering going to the battlegrounds. Your time spent untill then, is best leveling to 30-35 due to the above reason.

i'am on merlin, bg0 has like about 10 -60 people playing at difrrent times most alb's and mids a few hib's.
bg1 has labout 40 to 100 or so playing it at times. bg2 is a ghost town. bg3 has lgood amount of people lots of hib's uslay like 15 to 40 alb's and i'am guessing the same amount goes for mids.

Okay, thanks for all your advice. I played on Galahad which isn't as populated as Merlin or Lance and that probably has something to do with it as well.
It's just that I played in Thidranki as a Thane and one time my group of 4 cornered an Infiltrator sneaking around our side. I took my big two-handed hammer and pounded her into the ground very hard. I got credit for a Realm Point and have been wanting to do it again ever since. Sort of like a wild dog who gets his first taste of blood. However, like you say, the lower BGs don't see much action so I guess I just got lucky that time.

Yes I guess it depends on which server you play on. Last night I experimented with an alt on MLF just to see what a Merc can do and if it's something I would want to play. There were over 20 people in Thidranki on the Alb side and I am sure they were doing more than just XP hunting because they were there for a long time.
It's sort of a catch-22 when it comes to Battlegrounds not being used on your server. You need to participate to get RA's but you can't get RA's if no one is there to kill.
I am starting to agree with those who say don't even worry about it until you get to lvl 30. If there are people there in the earleir lvls.....great. If not, I will just lvl my toon and prepare for the later ones.
What I don't understand is why no ever plays in BG 2(25-29) on any server? It just seems kind of pointless to keep a battle ground if no one ever uses it.
I personally think Mythic needs to give players a better incentive to fight in ALL the battle grounds.

My guess here is the level command, albs can /level to 20, so it means lots in BG1 to kill. Others can /level 30 so lots in BG3 to kill.
It's common knowledge that no body does BG2. This keeps people from zoning in.. hence no one to kill. It think it's more about being able to find other to kill than anything, start a humor that BG2 is the best.... before long it will be.
You 1 free level for maxing out your RP's in a BG. This was suppose to motivate people to go to BG's. I max out BG3's with all my alts.. be lower levels are so easy to blow out there isn't allot of incentive to sit around in a BG. I'm not sure what else Mystic could bride you with to get you into BG2... 2 free levels?
