Alright. Well said Sobaman. I am not above admitting when someone makes a valid point, which you have. Perhaps we all look for more in a MMORPG then just a "game" or a fun experience. Well said. I may return to Eve one day but for now it is far too time consuming.

What about the 5700 WoW players that are trying to lower EVE's rank by voting against it, oh yeah they don't exist, just like you conspiracy theory about EVE players.

I doubt WoW players have high enough IQ to do such a thing. I dont doubt however that Eve's Fanboys wouldnt do such a thing. Especially you Minsc.

Actually I haven't been running xfire for the past few weeks as it was causing a problem when I ran DDO, it's fixed now so I can leave it up. I've been trying to get my money's worth out of DDO since it just came out so I've been taking a mini-break from EVE. There's still lots I haven't done in EVE so I have lots to do when I go back, which will be soon cause I've maxed my DDO character out now.
Since when did anyone but me dictate what I choose to do with my money anyways, it's not like $15/month is a lot of money anyways.

It's like stepping over the drunk in the streets who's arguing with his left shoe.
I bet you after every post static is making he starts cackling wildly and then calls his roommate in to laugh at the EVE fanboys for taking his bait once again.

Catch me streaming at twitch.tv/cryomatrix You can see my sci-fi/WW2 book recommendations.
I just started playing this game, got the 14 day trial, and I got to say I actually really like it. There is so much depth to the game and so much to learn that it may be overwhelming to some at first but if you go through the tutorial and learn the ropes it is actually pretty damn fun. I thought I wouldn't like the skill system but it actually fits my gaming style well because I hate grinding. With this system you are learning skills even when you are offline and game time can be spent making money.
As for the server population I think it is actually pretty decent and the player base seems very mature compared to most MMO's. This is probably because your typical 14 year old couldn't grasp a game this complex. Anyways I haven't decided if I am going to suscribe to this game but I am definitely enjoying it so far, it is refreshing to have an in depth sci-fi MMO again after the debacle of SWG.

Let us know if you need any help... just... ask in a new thread so as to keep it clear of the flame-wars

GW's on top now.... so all's right in the world. ______________________________________
When I registered here I swore I'd never get involved in the puerile name-calling that seems to be thrown at EVE, but... no willpower I guess!
Look Kialey, you don't like the game. That's fine. Go and play your game of choice, I won't be upset.
No, really.
What I can't grasp is the fact that you seem to be getting upset because other people like something that you don't. Why? Please tell me why. If someone went and posted on the GW forum how they thought it was the worst game ever would it change your mind about GW? No? So why do you think ranting about EVE here would change our opinions?

And wtf why is this thread not locked yet ffs ? Mods ? Any mods ? anywhere ?
Actually... the Mods posted on the 2nd page, I believe. They tend to not lock much, as you'll come to find, when it comes to the Eve forums. Read some of the hate threads... ask yourself why they're not locked (and, yes I took part in the flame wars ), and then come back to this one. Despite the utter ignorance in the OP's post... this thread is rather tame.

The mods are very much willing to lock a thread if it gets reported. There is a little button next to "Reply" that does just that. I usually click that instead of flaming back, and the thread (if its bad, like usual) gets locked in less than an hour - lightning fast, I know :
I have no idea how many MMORPG.COM mods there are, but it seems there are not enough to constantly patrol every thread here, or just aren't required to. The point is, if you think a thread should get moderated, use the report feature, as the mods seem to care very little otherwise. It will save a lot of harsh exchanges and annoyance.

Not everyone can play Eve, but everyone can see how deep and rich it is.

Until they realize the truth, that is. Looks can be deceiving as they say.
Trying to get your rating up on MMORPG.com eh, Static...
Harmless question... if you don't like Eve... why do you constantly spam our forums?

Life's too short man...
I dont play EVE but i tried the trial. The game is decent and good so i gave it a high rating.
Good game does deserve a good review.
LOL not that good with numbers are you?
When 9 out of 10 voters give a game high marks it will be at the top of the list in rankings. 90%
When 9 out of 100 voters give a game high marks it will be towards the bottom of rankings. 9%
Those things tend to happen when you have a very happy small playerbase when compared to other larger MMOs.
That now concludes our simple math lesson of the day........
I have 2 accounts plust 2 power of 2 accounts for a total of 4 accounts.
Whats yer point.
