I started with Ultima Online and haven't stopped since then, usually appreciating the newer ones when they come out, but always missing the old days of UO and EQ. It's not like it was back then anymore
My first MMORPG was Lord Dasher's Lounge, otherwise known as NeverWinter Nights, on AOL. My 2nd, a few months later, was Multiplayer Battletech on GEnie.
Not to mention a slew of muds
Currently Playing: Dungeons and Dragons Online. Sig image Pending Still in: A couple Betas
Astonia III... it was teh awesome... still is actually, was just thinking of going back and this thread might have convinced me(brings back teh memories)
UO for me. That game was soooo good back then. The only way you can describe how it felt to play a game like UO in it's early years was exciting. It felt like you were playing on the edge.
Earth and Beyond was my first... Best MMORPG they ever made in my opinion, because I tried a lot of other ones after it and not one could hold a candle to it... ::sniff::

My first MMORPG was Ultima Online. It was a revolutionary game and still is to this day, even with it's outdated graphics and gameplay.

I just don't get that same buzz anymore
Anarchy Online was my 1st attempt at mmorpg. I was always more of a sci-fi nut! Then came Evercrack and it was all over from there.
Asheron's Call was my first, beyond a few lan type games. And it is still the only one I am playing.
OMG, I'm starting to sound like a fanboi.
