I don't have a credit card but my parents will let me play if I just give them back the money they spend monthly. Like if it is 10 bucks a month i give my parents 10 bucks a month so its even. So yea it works good.
Also keep in mind not all game players are young, havn't lived with my parents in a damn long time.

I mean we're talking about $10 to $15 a month for a game. What is the big deal??? Even when I was 15 I made plenty of money to buy games and play mmorpgs and stuff. Do you have any idea how many grass's need to be mowed out there or how many part-time jobs are need out there. Even if you can't do any of that you can make deals with your parents.... "Hey dad I'll wash your car every saturday if you pay my $12.95/mo. for my mmorpg" No one would say no to that. That's just an example you can do something to make cash every month.
But here is the problem today's youth is too damn lazy to get off their a$$'s and do anything (I'm talking in general). At 16 years old I had saved enough money working to buy my OWN car and pay my pops for insurance every month with no problem.
OK, stop kaing such a big deal out of choice number three..i simply put it there for any mmorpg players like MYSELF..I never said i couldn't afford 10 to 15 dollars (and by the way, i've got strict parents who wont spend a penny monthly for those time-wasters called mmorpgs)

it makes sense as a third option actually, obvious people who dont live at home it wont apply to, but the many teenagers who it does apply too, now have an answer
after 6 or so years, I had to change it a little...
Yeah, I believe polls have shown that most gamers are in their mid-twenties.
If you don't have a credit card, set up a bank account and get a check card. They can be used any place that accepts credit cards, but they draw the funds directly from your checking account. You can get one of these accounts even if you are under 18 (probably will have to have your parents help you set it up). And if your parents don't like MMORPG's, then don't tell them what the account is for...tell them you just want to start becoming "financially responsible" with your money. However, if they snoop at your bank statements when they come, they might find still out what you're doing with your money.

The average age of a MMORPG player is 25. I'd like to think few 25 year olds are still living at home.
Most 21 and under play console games.
