Europeans are again pounded with WoW

It's official that WoW beta will not be open to Europeans till later this year.

As if Lineage 2 wasn't enough, the first round of closed beta session of WoW will be held in Canada, S. Korea and US first.

If I were in Europe, I would seriously consider to move to Canada and you would never have to regret for being Canadian.

Cheer fellow Canadian. We did it again.

BTW, Don't blame Canada.

they stated that a long time ago,

There fan base goes as follows

Korea, by a LOOOOOONG shot...(I belive more than double the koreans buy there products than americans)
    United States, is second...
    Canada is third

Europe australia Asia, and others fill in the 4+ area, I wouldnt worry too much about it, there will be an open beta.

From the official FAQ http://www.blizzard.com/wow/faq/  possibly from the september 16th FAQ update.

"Can you tell us more about the beta? Will there be different phases? Will there be an open beta? Will it require an NDA?
World of Warcraft is currently in the alpha-testing stage (internal testing open to the entire company). The beta test, which is scheduled to start sometime in early 2004, will initially be open to players in the U.S., Canada, and Korea. Participation will require an NDA. Similarly to how we've conducted beta tests in the past, we will gradually open up the beta to more and more testers in order to gauge server stability and connectivity. While we don't know what the total number of beta testers will be yet, this will by far be our largest beta test ever. "

I don't care. I am so sure i'll play WoW for quite some time so i don't wanna spoil myself.
The best time in a MMORPG ist the EXPLORING of a new world to me.
In a Beta a lot stuff is still missing and whe you start fiinal you know a lot of stuff allready that has just slightly changed.

I'll just play Lineage 2 until WoW is out or keep playing Eve.

Nobody's obliged to beta test in Europe.

Chances are you won't get in anyway.

I'm sure Europeans will get to play the game when it's released. I'm sure why all the hubbub to play a bug filled game with faulty content, for a couple months for free.

Many act like all America's or Koreans will get to play. They won't. Be patent, it'll be worth the wait to not have your 1st impressions of WoW be a blue-screen or getting stuck in a hole for 4 hours until a Dev can fetch you out.

I personally love beta testings, you get to help how with the development of a game, with small suggestions, reporting bugs, and you get to try the game a bit before it goes gold.

Yep, they want our money later but don't care about our input/partecipation...

I should subscribe to EVE just to support a non- US MMOG-developer...

Well, but theres a positive side to it: If You US, Canadian and Korean guys/gals do a good job we Euros will get a stable and bug-free game to play then... image

So go for it and test well!! image
