I've fallen behind in my research of all the upcomming MMORPGs and I'm just looking for suggestions as to games that may be what I'm looking for.
Basically my ideal game would have fairly quick leveling, similar to that of Shadowbane, also restricted PvP, I liked the RvR system in DAOC. Is there anything coming out that might fulfill both these wishes?

PvP games use, players as the limiting force, and the incentive to keep playing. Like SB. SB was about raizing enemies towns, raping the sheep, and trimming the hedges of many small villages.
Leveling could be quick, since the goal it go head to head vs people, and MMORPG's have a problem with level difference as a imbalance. The quicker they can get you to max level, the more you'll enjoy PvP.
(also see Guild Wars)
Non-PvP games use the game as the limiting factor, your goal is get to max level. If you could do it quickly you'll get board and stop giving them money.
(also See Hz, EQ2 ect)
DAoC trys to strike a balance... or at least give you distraction from killing the same mobs over and over.
(alse see WoW)
Quick leveling, and Non-PvP isn't a overly profitable game design since you'll tried of it quickly. This would be a game like D2.. Witch really isn't a MMO.

Achievers realise that killers as a concept are necessary in order to make achievement meaningful and worthwhile (there being no way to "lose" the game if any fool can "win" just by plodding slowly unchallenged). -bartle

Currently I'm looking into EverQuest II, World of Warcraft, Dragon Empires, and I just started looking into Guild Wars and Lineage 2. To tell you the truth, I'm looking forward to Dragon Empires the most right now. I like the idea of fighting for cities, and I like how they are balancing PvP. It also seems like decent PvE is possible in Dragon Empires. EverQuest II is second, because I played EQ, and it had great PvE. EverQuest II has the best graphics by far, out of all the games(my opinion of course). I hope EQII will have as much content and immersion as the original did. As for Guild Wars and Lineage 2, I can't tell you much because I just starting looking into these games myself. Oh, I would also recommend checking www.sigilgames.com every once and a while because, I think the game they are going to announce (which will be pretty soon) will be kick-ass.
look out for WoW definitely....It looks great in gameplay and graphics. Im sure it will be good coming from a coporation like Blizzard
Also look for lineage 2. Lineage 1 wasnt the best but it wasnt bad either. If you wanna check this game out go to lineage2.com.
Guild wars looks great because of the gameplay. You can be many differnet races plus there is no monthly fee. Looks like the first good game of its kind.
Last but not least, look for EQ2. This is my personal favorite but dont take my word for it. Many say lineage 2 and WoW will rival EQ2 but we will find out eventually when it comes out.
