now i got ur attention people keep saying "i dnt care if they call me a noob" , "if they filter noob they will just make up a new word" and such but as i keep saying , if the people who say such things as noob get banned HOW can they make up a new word and you may not care if they call you a noob but if your callin for help and someone is standing next 2 u and leaves u 2 die the chances are they are the same people that go round calling people noobs and if games band that kinda people then the gameing communtiy would be a much nicer more pleasent one

Dude, I also have pretty bad dyslexia, but I still take the effort to read and re-read my posts, believe me, it's worth it in the fact that people will more often take your points seriously if they are actually legible with little effort.
On the 'noob' topic: I don't care. It's just one of these words you find on the internet. Also, if someone's calling you a noob, you can feel safe in the knowledge that you are better than them.

There's a difference between being a 'newb' and a 'n00b'
A newb is a new player to the game, who genuinely just started and doesn't really know what's going on. Also called a 'newbie'
A n00b is usually a flagrant jackass, who engages in irritating behavior, purposely aggravates other players, or has been playing the game for some time, and still doesn't understand anything about it.
At least that's always been my understanding relating to it...

There are 'n00bs' in all games. My favorite example to use currently would be the FFXI elitist player. Let me give an example.
Player; Let's do a skillchain for the BLM to burst, it does more damage then the individual weapon skill n00b; No, my pentathrust does 400 damage. Player; But the skillchain and the magic burst would do more like 700 damage... n00b; I have a level 75, rank 10 character, I think I know more about my job and yours then you do, n00b.
Those people are, and should be, labeled as n00bs.

the funny thing about your example, is that the "n00b" actually could have a high level toon. i'm guessing level 75, rank 10 is high in ffxi? dunno, never played.
but there's all sorts of people (and i'm not talking about folks that bought their toons off ebay or paid someone to level them or whatever), who DO have max level/skill toons and just have no concept of what they're doing.
could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?
The n00b goes around prancing about like they know everything about the game, even when they're wrong. The player made a suggestion, which is correct, but it was dismissed by the high level n00b, because he can't make mistakes.
It's one of my biggest gripes with FFXI. I've never seen more idiots at the end-game ; ;

NoOb,Nub,nEwb,Newbie what ever its a stupid word,and 90% of players that use it didnt learn much from other player and are stuborn and think there the best ,. when there probly still learning.
Most players that dont get many kills in pvp will call everyone they kill newbs,kinda funny ,they insult them selfs killing a "Newb" should be easy! not hard or anything to brag about,.but there excited,getting kills for there first time or having a good pvp day,.
Avid or smart players dont call there victems newbs to much,. its nothing new to them they kill people all the time.
Most good pvpers or old timers will just say "dam you suck lol"
im not sure how well you do in school cus,getting called a newb is nothing,.so your school life must be painfull for you,.or your just a pro troll and you did vary well this time.
A time always comes when insults are (or feel) necessary, and a new word would just be used. Personally, I have used the word, whether it's when that party member rolls Need because he "thought it was meant for Hunters" or when the Tanker starts attacking my target to "help me out". Sometimes the target of my wrath is an idiot, sometimes generally new to the game, but I feel that they deserve it. People who do stupid things deserve to get yelled at, otherwise they never learn.
Now, from the OP's post I assume he's been called a "noob" more than once, and probably for good reason. To avoid this, there are a few things you can do:
1. RTFM 2. Check the forums out, get a reading on what people consider idiotic. 3. Don't team or play with other people until you think you've gotten a good handle on how the game works.
If you haven't done all of that, expect to keep being called a noob.

If i had to cool someone a noob cos i had a gun pointed to my head , i would call people hu would rather sit at a computer all day than go outside , maybe sail , or just chill wit der family a noob , but thats just me

Why is everyone always going on about my seplling? lol maybe some of you are to old to have heard off it but its called text talk , saves time and effort and for veryies reasons i need to do just that lol im pretty sure if ur too old to have heard of text talk (35+) then u would have heard off ME aka cronic fatige syemdrome wich i dnt doubt some of fyou have but so do i , mostly in my arms , yes i know anoyying to type wit that ahh? lol well thats why i use text talk and if ur too old too be able to read text talk then well ur stuck in the 70's

In a game called Dota people calling other people n00b's are rife. Most of the time though, they're usually rubbish themselves so I just see it as empty bolsterings of their egos.

Also, about your reply to my post a couple of pages back, I am also in the UK, and I am also a year younger than you claim to be.
I think MMOs have more issues than people calling other people 'noobs'.
