How can someone be "jealous of WoW" you tool? We aren't MMO devlopers and we have nothing to be jealous about, if we don't like it then by golly we don't like it. Your precious golden WoW is infested with broken promises, a community filled with idiots, and a raid-oriented end game. And no nothing in WoW is better than anything. Except maybe shitholes like D&DO or SWG.

Well, I'd assume many people who think they are playing "the better game" take offense at WoW's immense popularity. Hands down, World of Warcraft is the biggest commercial success ever in the world of MMOs, and will be for some time to come.
I played DAoC for over a year after release, it is well by its sell-by date now and doesn't offer WoW the slightest competition. I'm sure most people would agree WoW is a much better game if they were thinking objectively. Yes, I know DAoC has probably undergone some hefty changes, but hey, so has WoW.
Now, to get all me, me, me! I do not agree at all with MMORPG.com ranking list, I do not think EVE Online deserves its "throne"(I played for three months after the trial and just grew bored of the damn thing), nor am I a fan of Ryzom. Guildwars is a solid PVP experience and deserves to be in the top five with EQ2, WoW and FF XI. I wouldn't even rank EVE fifth, to be honest, I prefer Lineage 2.
I wish people would stop defending their personal MMO choice religiously and keep a cool head when posting, I'm sure many of the blind-folded zealots on these boards realize that they have a few concessions to make. Opinions are merely beliefs of individuals, just because many people agree on something does not necessarily make it right, or wrong for that matter. Many people like their red wine, while I prefer my lager.
The point of my confusing and ill structured post was to agree with the OP. WoW is taking a lot of heat these days, and a lot of the criticism is not well founded. I believe WoW can offer great PvE end-game raiding experiences to long time subscribers and to newcomers it is a very well rounded game with a lot of true and tried PvE and PvP content to waste your free time with.

I played both game, both game are good games in its own way, but I can general see why Guild Wars is better.
Guild Wars:
Pro: Easy game to get in too, Easy to get skills, alot of different build with class/class combination.
Con: Combat too simple, I can go in to battle and only using keys 1-8 and the tab buttom and still do as well with a mouse. Also lacks solo pvp.
Warcraft:
Pro: I play a rogue, and I really like how blizzard made there pvp system. Before I started play mmorpg, I been playing TFC, and playing WoW brought me back home to my fps days
Con: Playing WoW fell like a freaking Job. You have to spend like 200+ hours leveling a toon, 60+ hours farming to get decent gear, then 160+ hours for per tier to get urban gear. Then with the new expansion coming out u have to spend another 150+ hours to get to 70. Then at best you can only perform 3 different builds. Then you have some class require different gear for diffent build which they have to do more x amount of time to get them. With people like me, just playing one class who can only do 3 fuction(builds) well get burn out, and the only choice they have is to spend another 350+ hours, 70, and whatever x amount of time to get decent gear.
Final Thoughts: So yeah, pvp perspective, Guild Wars is better, well atleast for me. Free, Spend less then 50 hours and pretty much unlocking all the skill per section. I only played the first one, so it might be shorter with the others, and alot of different build with class/class combo's. But if u add wow aspect with fps feel and with open and solo pvp play, the ull have one kick ass game PvP mmorpg game.

I dont know what wow did u play`d and what GW....but i think u have no iddea about what u are talking....I played wow alot.And it is very booring that is the reason i dont play anymore....The grafic suks comparing to Gw....It1s like u playing Maple Story(no offence) or something!Is true there are good part of wow....But i think the top is good as it is....Wow was a few years ago the best,but it no longer is!

i got 5 reason why GW is better then WoW and 5 reason why WoW is better then GW :
GW reason:
1. They got alot of quest depening alot of your friend helping to have more fun.
2. On nightfall u can earn hero
wich u can controll for yourself
3. They got alot of rank and is 3 type of GW out there wich is GW, Faction and Nightfall.
4. You can dye the items u wear and u even have a cape
5. Its cheap ^^ you dont need to buy a 2 month play card but u can buy a card that last longer then u live
WoW reason:
1. They got something called raid wich is very fun but alot of boring sometimes
2. More and bigger event then GW or i tink so
3. U can storm direct to their base and die
becasue is ally vs horde anyway
4. You can make more character on WoW becasue on GW u only start with 4 and each GW game u buy and activate code u get 2 extra slot or have to buy it
5. You get addicted very fast witch is good for me
and now for the 6 reason that i will say on both
6. HAVE FUN PLAYING or you never have something fun happening for a long while
