I'm just waiting for my family to pass away. I can't commit suicide until they're gone or I'd break their hearts. Otherwise u are completely correct, It's just a choice on how much further one wishes to observe reality. I don't have to face that decision just yet, even thought it won't be a decision, it'll be an illusion like all else.

Well to tell you the truth i think its because everyone is doing it.
We grow because our cells reproduce. We study because thats what our parents did and what our friends are doing. We get jobs to make money and to get things that improve our life. We live because we see others living. We marry because we see others marrying. You can pretty much answer all that with the way we see others do things.
Also we feel attached to our familys. Our parents dont just go and kill themselves because they realise they have responisbilitys and some love their children and their children love them in return.
For god's sake ( the one whom you guys think doesn't exit ) don't twist my words into working with your plots.
i'm talking about people who have no children, YOU if you don't have, if your parents simply want to suicide and end their purposeless lives, they can take you with them.

I stay alive because life so far is tolerable, but barely, just barely tolerable. And the family reason as mentioned before. The only reason anyone would not commit sucide if they're done with life is fear of the unknow that comes after it. I mean, let's face it, it is one big unknown, heh
