Actually SOe put this together... not LEC... and in the begining they had the right mix of what they needed, leadership, a vision etc.. Raph stated himself it was blown to hell when they got unrealistic deadlines and funding cuts.. I guess both are to blame...
And I guess it may be jsut me that when I think of starwars (I grew up on the original 3) I think of something that had a complete storyline to it.. A complete background... To me the story was there, all they had to do was make it so we could add our own chapters... They started down this road and somehow veered off of it.. I just have an expectation of starwars, they are high, and felt with everything in place since 1977 that making a first rate game of high quality should not of been a problem...
Having access to a billion $ IP - Billions of dollars.. Having access to a massive fan base of said IP - Even more Billons... Singly handedly alienating them due to stupidity - Priceless.

Who "put it together" to what extent has been debated already countelss times over.
The logo on the box is LucasArts, the top logo on StarWarsGalaxies.Com is Lucas Arts. It's their product, it's another example of their lack of real concern for the franchise and their desire to cotninue to peddle out yet more mediocre SW titles.
Saying SWG is SOE's game is like saying KoTOR II is Obsidian's game and not Lucas Art's.
There is no premise for your concept of shining quality from Lucas Arts, I know you wanted SWG to be what you hoped and wanted it to be but it isn't and neither are most of the other Star Wars titles.
