The vet reward was supposed to be a AT-PT actually; it's in the .tre files currently but it's bugged because it makes you look like you're riding a creature mount.
Because this has never been done before in the game.... Oh wait, the Desert Skiff, Barc, Varactyl, Yacht, Flash Speeder and Goggles all come to mind...
Is that supposed to be some sort of justification?
Well to be honest its a trend that will start to grow because companies are starting to find out the potential revenue they have access to by doing this. Example roma-victor, the company designing that game will sell you credits legally (not breaking their TOS or EULA), which by-pass the companies such as IGE so they pocket from it instead of losing out to companies who make something like 10 to 100million dollars a year ( i remember reading it some where but can't remember the exact figurei think its closer to 100 million or more ).
That is a lot of money if you think about it and a figure which you can't really turn a blind eye too, neither can the bean counters. I'm not defending SOE but they are a business firstly and they need to make money and if this helps increase the revenue from the games they have i.e squeezing money out from the remaining subscribers, they will do it because they've lost money from lost subs. If people who are thick and enjoy being violated without vaseline continue to pay for items, cash etc this will eventually become the norm.
It also has its upsides because you won't get leet kiddies in many games because they can't afford to pay for items, credits, extra content all at once. Down side is companies can dictate even further what content you are entitled to for free and how much you are entitled to for a set price which means MMO gaming becomes even more expensive and only the ones with money to throw around will really see the true potential of a game; not to mention game companies can get by releasing shit to a paying public who will lap it up. You many even start to come across stories of people showing signs similar to those of chronic gamblers who spend all their money to satisfy their urge etc. Look at the stories about WOW and other MMO's where people have died as a result of getting to drawn into the games imagine what it will be like when real life cash becomes a factor.
Then again I might be looking in to it a bit too much but its food for thought.

I'd say get in line on that one.... bigtime.
I did this since the NGE went live, from Smedley to players with no self respect or common sense.
It's funny though, I never thought there was this many people in the world that enjoyed being lied to and kicked in the teeth. lol Looks like I was wrong.

Difference with Roma Victor is there is no subscription fee per month on top of the credit fee.
Im still not sold on this whole concept. Here's my thinking:
You're right, mmo's are a business, and they are out to make money. Obviously, they think people are going to spend more money on credits per month than the normal 15 dollars or they wouldnt do this. I cant afford to spend more money per month to compete with people who can.
Of course, the ebaying of credits and items is a problem, but there are other ways to deal with it than this, like freaking banning the farmers that people constantly report. Hello. So i dont buy that excuse as a valid reason.
They are doing this simply because they will make more money off their customers this way. F that.

This was funny though, it's like saying they got people to play the game in the first place.
At this point they have almost filtered most of us out, look at the boards... what you see is alot of fanbois left, nobody new is staying, nobody old is really staying -- Only Old players with Jedi now, or semi new players that believe anything and are all YOUNGER!
Any wise-minded adult is really not playing the game anymore, most of us know when were being kicked and lied to over and over, this is a business and most of us can see it is being ran with no intent of changing.
It's like a bad investment, no matter what -- the press, reports, people, awards, facts tell you not to do it.
Some younger people will bet on it, sure some will play but that demograph is very very small now, almost tuned to the lies and short commings.
The people that are LEFT - ARE the ones that will put up with them, now they can milk that crowd...with the thought of, "Well, if they can put up with the NGE then crap, we can sell them a pile of shit for 15.00 more bucks even"... If you think about it they are right..
Who would you try to sell to now??? Us?? Not us old vets.. no way??? Nope, you sell to the ones that already forgave you for this mess. Not as many of us anti-NGErs in the game as there was at first... our subs ran out lol.
