I.E. every thing will be dictated by levels, lack of diversity to do what you want, crafting system still dumbed down and also hardly any diversity availble in the items people can craft for example every ones armor has exactly the same stats which can be attained so easily even if you don't have the same resources. Thats just a few things, they need to address the actual little things people forget because if they don't all this is, is the NGE with some stuff added to it. Think of it as a 40 year old lap dancer who has had a bit of "nip & tuck" so she can carry on dancing just that bit longer.

Whats wrong with 40 year old lap dancers?

well from a distance and poorly lit areas she looks fine, but up on closer look you actually see that because of the botox she has no ability to make facial expressions, the slightly sagging skin which is struggling to be kept at bay looks like a botch job. You can't see the cellulite in the dark but in daylight its there to see. However because she  has a huge set of fake boobs people will still pay to see her. A little like the NGE  (couldn't resist lol)

Also forgot to add will they still be inclined to have looted items better then crafted? Will they still not add decay as it was pre-cu? Can't seem to find any info on that .

Hang on.. that doesn't make sense. If you were reading it, then the page will be displayed on your screen. If the post is then deleted while you are reading it, then it will remain on your screen.

yeah i'm sure you should be able to get to the content via your browser cache as it does store basic web content in the cache folders. I helped someone retrieve something important from a web transaction when he accidently closed his browser without writing down the order ID and tansaction number, the same could be done here i guess.

Not to add fuel to all the rumor fires but

it does seem that SWG will be heading toward another change

    NGE2

Just look at SWGs track record in the last 3 yrs

and add info such as found on the stratics site

combined with target lock coming back

I'm sorry, but even if they did this I still won't be back. SOE had their chance at my wallet and lost it that fateful Nov day.

Me either. Even if it did everything I want (skills instead of class levels, sandbox, crafting being important) in a game it is too late. My guild is well gone from the game at this stage and I just don't like or trust SoE.

At this point, it's all just rumors (although the rumors are reasonable - $OE has seriously fubared this game and clearly needs to make major fixes).  Fignar, War_Dancer, and Gabbett are right IMHO.  If this is true, then $OE needs to be honest with the player community.  Yes, it would upset many of the NGE-kiddies, and yes it would mean a huge admission of failure which they're not likely to undertake, but one of the greatest problems with $OE/LEC has been the stealth way they spring these kinds of changes on the player community.  They lied horribly about the NGE, and that lying/creative misrepresentation is one of the greatest problems I have with them.  Had $OE/LEC been open and told the player base (in a timely manner) about the impending NGE they would have received less negative feedback.  I would still have quit and so would many others, but still others would have remained.  It is this dishonestly that is at the core of the problem.  If $OE/LEC are planning on making changes to the game per the rumor, I can only hope they approach the player base in a professional manner and conduct themselves accordingly.

Read a little more. I C/P'ed the URL and entered it into the bar to test it. When I did so, it gave the "The message you are....". Not my smartest moment...

Yeah, now that I think about it, I should have just openned a new window and come here to post, argh....

I'll start my own SWG... with Black Jack... and Hookers!!!

How? I haven't shut off my comp since then. Sorry, I'm completely browser-slow. OOOO, off to Google how...

OK, I went to History, and clicked all of the GPDF links in there, and 3 came up "Not Found", so is that it? Is these anything else I can do?

Well you can try this one at first click the work offline option for your browser normally it's done by using the top menu bar like so :

    File ----> work offline

As your browser stores the urls you have visted, it will be able bring up a list of URL's which are related to a string you put in to the URL address bar.

So for instance if it was something like :

    http://forums.station.sony.com/blahblah

Entering that will bring up all the related URLS you have visited in the address bar and you can scroll through each one until you find one that you recognise. Hopefully you can  find the page you were looking for and it still kept the old content stored in cache so you can view it offline. However there is a chance that if you clicked on the thread on the forums when it was deleted it could have updated the cache for that particular page over writing the old content so it will show the info saying the thread has been deleted etc.

hopefully that helps but if it doesn't,  post back and i'll give you some other solutions to try out, also are you using Internet explorer?

Ahh this classic post ---- gotta love it, I was there for it and remember it and my comment of "Nothing at all would suprise me but if they do this it will ruin the game" ...

LOL I guess I need to start betting on more horses dammit!

In this case I hated being right.   The day this was posted, so many things were flying around that the famous "Uncles post" --- was copied all over the place.

SOE/SWG Dev team really did mess this whole game up, even from a business perspective they shot themselves in the foot.

"The Web Page you are trying to view is not available offline."

They all say that so far, so I'm not going through the whole list.

Thanks though... it was worth a try...
