Rumours? The shroud of the dark side has been lifted
Over the past couple of weeks, rumours have been flying around about a Server or group working on a Pre-CU/NGE coding for Star Wars Galaxies and that they also have source code etc to make this happen.
*CENSORED* can reveal that this is indeed true and Lucasarts are giving it their support, providing that they go through the LF Network, Lucasfiles and *CENSORED*. Not sure if this has been posted before. I can say one thing. I have a contact whos involved somewhere with all this. He/she has confirmed LA will be hosting pre-cu servers.
Of course I dont know for sure, just like i dont know if Jesus really existed. I am just listening to what I'm told and choosing to believe.
Please dont shoot me down. I'm just relaying information

yep, but even the devs a puzzled since it has not come in the form of an official press release from LEC.

yeah LFN is tied to LEC. It's their way of keeping track of anything releated to their game titles since in the game industry mods and such are to wide spread to stop

I am trying to beleive it. Only because someone who confirmed this is an old friend and is involved somehwere. I am not easily convinced and I still have many questions un answered. No matter what I hear or read I'm a person who believes it when I see it. Probably why I havent been to church in a long time

Yeah I saw that, but they have been on the "deny everything" kick since shortly after the news of the meeting broke.
It's possible that it's a hoax, but it would be as if Stratics hoaxed the same thing...What do you think are the odds of that? They wouldn't want to bite the hand that feeds...LFN is about a LOT more than just Galaxies.

I may be wrong, Ob, but I think one said they weren't on the call but had not heard this news. One of the bigger duckers (their public relations one) is going everywhere saying to not talk about it until they themselves have heard from LA. Not denying it just trying to stop it until they got official word. Not sure about the third duck.
My guess is that someone at LA jumped the gun, cat got let out and all before the duck team was notified. As if LA really cares...

The word emu isnt banned here - the mods have even made a sticky about it for us - its there so we can go on without every second thread being about the EMU.
And take a look over at the ducks they seem as clueless as us about it - that tell you anything.
The rumor's just as 'official' as everything else we've heard about the meeting.

Garva told me in a PM that they deleted all the threads about the EMU because it's illegal.... BS!!! There are many servers like the EMU for WoW and if Blizzard could't do anything against it, then SOE won't be able either!
I have learned something from this experience. If a man is dying of thrist and someone offers him a promise of water, regardless if the promise is a lie, that man will regard the promise bearer unlike a god. Anyone that suggests to the thristy man that the promise bears no fruit will recieve a very hostile responce from the thristy man.
What have I learned? I learned that I should not stick my nose in where it doesn't belong. I didnt wait around for someone else's promise of a beverage, I took care of my own thrist quenching problem 6 months ago at a Bar called Eve Online. I truely hope that you all get what you so long after. And I hope that the man promising you water actaully bears water and not sand in that glass of promisses.
