One thing that shouldn't happen is leave it as it is, the player base has no confidence or respect for them.
Having access to a billion $ IP - Billions of dollars..

The main problem with the premise of senators is that SOE doesn't pay any attention to them. It wouldn't matter if we got an entirely new group of senators that constantly explains why they need to go back to Pre-CU, because SOE won't listen to them anyway.
A new group of senators is not the answer. A new group of SOE devs and managers IS the answer.

I don't remember people demanding the correspondent program be swept away.
While the term Senate is iconic and Star Warsy, it certainly hasn't worked out very well...much like the rest of the NGE.
I vote they make them correspondents again and choose them for their knowledge and helpfulness to other players.

Funny, the senators are coming here to vote for themselves. No one else is voting for them.
Proof of the fragile ego. This is the ONE place where the senate can be blasted without their buddy mods to repress dissent, and the MUST come here.

and yes this is generalized, they're not all asssmackers.. errr .. badgersmackers. if i recall right the one from kette was a good person ingame and on forum, and continues to be so. but what's truely sad is look back thru the old profession forums, look at all the hard work the coros did there.. and right to the bitter end some of them

Mostly their inflated egos. They've become an OBSCTUCTION. They serve no constructive purpose that I can see. Remake it into something that can serve a constructive purpose or do away with it.

wow, i read some of the old threads on the pike board, and THAT passion and intrest for a game can NEVER be duplicated in ANY game, rollback, emu, new game, whatever... this game had a kickass community.
