There seem to be "forum rats" that pop up and bury topics ( see the current crafter discussion thread overtaken by decay debates. Anytime someone posts an actual comment about crafting related ideas, 10 posts immediately follow on decay. It is as if a million crafters cried out and were silenced, rofl.) Odd odd place, those forums.

SOE's mode of operation with it's fanbase is to spin a story that looks like they are doing what the players want, and then WHAM...they hit you with an NGE.

1. Crafting will get the NGE treatment and will become so easy that a 10-year old could do it. Think Diablo II. Drop two items in, get another out. Fighters will go out and loot stuff, bring it to a crafter, and the crafter will change/combine them into different things. Instead of crafting from materials, think crafting from "parts".
2. Decay may be reintroduced, (in order to make crafting viable again) but it will be on SOE's terms to support their goals. Don't expect anything remotely similar to anything the players have been asking for.
Don't think for a minute that unless Helios was sacked that he doesn't know what the plans are. I have a feeling he said too much and that's why his posts were taken down.
PS...anyone thinking this will be a structure pack-up...hehe that's what the players want, which is exactly why that's not what it is.

My guess is that it's the new PvP ranking system, which is on the publish plan for Chapter 3. Also, I think that dev had mentioned earlier in a Restuss thread that they were revamping the faction point system too and once that was done, they'd think about upping the faction reward from the Restuss quests (if I understood that right :P)
If it truely would fixing "an old problem" and potentially tick folks off enought o leave, I'd bet on one of these, but we ALL know they won't touch Jedi, even being the joke they are... unless they brought back a FRS...
