*shrug* to each his own, but at least know the lingo.
Here's the difference...
There's a crossroads, in the middle is a five dollar bill. Equidistant on each road from the crossroads is a Pker, a 'hardcore PvPer', Santa and a Unicorn. Which reaches the money first?
The Pker, because none of the others &*%$ing exist.

This guy right here is how you deal with ganker, you don't go crying to the mods about it, you don't complain about it, YOU PISS HIM OFF WORSE THAN HE COULD EVER BE PISSED OFF!!!
Hard as it may be to believe, some of us simply do not find doing this fun. It's not that we necessarily CAN'T gank the ganker. It's that it isn't any fun and we don't want to bother with it. We'd rather just go somewhere that they can't even get to, like a private instance.
Sorry if you don't like that, but I play games for my enjoyment, not for anyone else's, and I get just as little enjoyment out of bullying someone, as I do out of being bullied. I'm just not into that kind of behavior whether I'd be on the giving or on the receiving end.
If that makes me a carebear, then I wear the title proudly. In fact I've made a userbar to wear it proudly. I play games to unwind, relax, and have fun... not to get into bitter interpersonal strife with people who have some sort of an axe to grind against me for no reason other than that I exist.
I'm still amused by what 'hardcore' was defined as by the UOers. It sounds much more tame than they make it sound. In fact, in truth perhaps UO should be defined as 'normal pvp' while all attempts of pvp now are just more along the lines of 'carebear' as they put it.
So I've noticed a number of "PvPers lose the battle to the Carebear" type of threads in the last few days. Has there been some kind of recent event in the MMO industry these last few days to mark such a milestone? Cause as far as I can tell, little if anything has changed between last week and today in the MMO industry.

It's better be hated for who you are, than loved for who you aren't.
