To be completely honest, I don't really have the initiative to come up with a list of why I don't want anything to do with it, but I'll try my best.
First reason: SOE changed the game drastically without consent of the customers
Second reason: The change (NGE) was not needed or even asked for by anyone who played the game
Third reason: What happened to the game after the NGE was implemented made it nearly unplayable, reverting the game's state back to beta, yet SOE still insisted on a monthly fee.
Fourth reason: The NGE destroyed the purpose of many professions (or classes, as they're now called) including crafters and anything else that wasn't Jedi or Bounty hunter. Smuggler was bad to begin with, and they only made it worse.
Fifth reason: SOE should not be allowed to treat customers like this, if any other company pulled a similar stunt (like Enron) they would be put out of business.
So, rather than boycotting SWG, I think there should be an active boycott of Sony and all it's products.
