i agree with Azure77, i played it until lvl.11 and im loving it atm. because it has OPEN pvp! i gotta say that i hate their movement (typical korean style). i dont know whether i will buy this when its release, because it seems that the pvp is most likely will be based on your items and weapons (grind and who ever had the most time play the game = WIN) but its ok for having fun and helping them hunting the bug in this beta period!

Archlord's customization and gameplay better than Vanguard?!? Is this a judgment based on Vanguard's screenshots and game videos? Unless you're one of the selected few, lucky beta testers for Vanguard, than that's an unfair comparision between an Open beta and Closed Beta game. If you are a Vanguard beta tester, why are you wastng your time in Archlord?!? Sheesh, I would be spending more time beta testing Vanguard! Archlord better than Vanguard, Warhammer, and Conan?!? Hmmm...that might be exaggerating a bit.
Thank you for the info on Archlord. You have piqued my interest about Archlord. Since it's Open beta now, I'll give the game a try.
Downloaded, installed, went through the 10 steps to set up an account because I forgot my old login. Immediately had to set my AMD cpu affinity to only one processor because of odd bugs. Walked around 15 feet and noticed that my feet weren't moving. Okay it's a beta I might be able to pass that up. Looking to set up key bindings and found none. Looked through other gui interfaces such as the quest screen and found that the text didnt even come close to matching the designated area on the GUI. Very poorly done on all aspects. This took a whole of 2 minutes and I uninstalled the game. Beta's are for testing thats for sure but there needs to be a certain level of integrity in the company when they release a beta for testing. Some things need to be completed or at least noted that they are known issues and will be fixed soon. If you release a beta game where every aspect of the game is buggy then there is no way you can narrow down the field of things to fix. Seriously, why waste peoples time with such a poor production?
They need to have a filter on the site when sorting games that allows you to sort out Korean games. Everyone I have tried has been a complete grindfest that lacks any sort of imagination. Would just be easier to filter those out and keep them out. Just like I'm there are a lot of koreans that dig that grind fest game but not western games. They too can filter out those. The world would be a better place.

I'm still playing Archlord, but from what I've experienced so far, I must agree with the negative comments made in this thread. Oh well, something to experience until beta for other MMOs.
Sigh...I'm still waiting for a Korean software developer to develop a completely playable/enjoyable MMO than is entirely different from the negatively stereotypical grindfest Korean MMOs currently available.

If you truly are a Vanguard beta tester, why not continue your playtesting and send your opinions to the Vanguard beta forums? I actually kinda like this game but ...........they actually are going to charge for this? 50 bones for the game and 10 bones per month??????? This game would make for a decent FREE game, even just a small monthly fee with a free client would be somewhat tolerable....but holy shitballs...everyone that preordered is getting boned. If it was fully free after beta I would play it some, but I'm going to probably not play after testing this game for a few days. Why waste my time on something I don't think is worth paying for?
The person flaming Vanguard... Are you talking about beta 1, or beta phase 2? Because if you have not been testing phase 3, you have no idea what you are tallking about. Oh aand, about Archlord... This was the worse cookie cutter korean style MMO I have played in ages. The hype was none the less, overhyped. But beta showed us how much this game blowed. Infact, I may not be in Vanguard - but I know plenty of people who are - and let me tell you, watching them play (for hours) intreagued me. Beta phase 3 is a work of art and Sigil is really listening to the community. To even compare Archlord to Vanguard is seriously misleading. Give your Vanguard beta account back to Sigil for someone else lucky enough to appreciate it, unless you are just lyingl which seems more likely, because VSOHphase 3 is pretty amazing from what I have seen and heard through the grapevine.

either way... Beta'd it for about 45mins before the inability to invert the mouse Y axis made me feel a bit sick (kinda like travel sickness when I was a kid). When i move the mouse forward I expect to look down but instead I look up. Plays havoc with your vestibular response

i think it's a lil biased to say that korean games are bad... i've enjoyed MuOnline alot Nice game play.. love the 'Chaos Castle' and 'Blood Castle' (not available on global server).. i enjoyed the PVP system to the fullest with only the penalty of not being able to warp and buy stuff from NPC.. love the shiny effect of armor and weapon.. the wings are beautiful... by the way, i'm not a korean...

Depends on what you like i guess but i do have to admit its just like RFO in the graphics, leveling and killing mobs system as for the places i havent played on L2 but its ment to be alot like that, the game gets really boring if you play on it too long but ok if you play it short amounts of time per day, when your a lower lvl that is. Why do developers allways think people want a game where you kill mobs continuiously, i think thats the biggest draw back for me, tis why i didn't like RFO. >.>
I tried it for an hour or two but got totally bored. Yesterday I got a mail about a survey for all beta-testers. One of the questions were "Why did you stop playing". They can't have much faith in their own product when they ask directly why quit and not if you quit..

i got into the beta also and i have played and tested ALOT of mmorpgs. From all that i have seen so far the Archlords game to me basically seems like a wanna be Guild Wars...similiar looking characters, similiar looking lands, the movements and concept is all the same also. So far i honestly have nothing good to say about Archlords...especially with them wanting it to be a p2p game. Major let down in my opinion.

I experienced some things i just didnt liked during gameplay, might be that i just played too much different mmorpgs so i just got an other feel for whats good and whats not cause i seen the big variety how an RPG can be built up. Multiside Combat-system, extra damage from behind, a big variety of classes and races, seen even Dragons as a race ^^....so may be i just seen too much to get me excited about this "new" one. ^^
mhh...you might wanna think about it, that level-requirements for gems could be of good use for equal Lvel-PvP ^^
I was instantly put off when I heard about the different subscription options. Although I have just got into beta, I've only played for a few mins. Still, will be interested to see what the official reviews will be like
